The Bulldogs were great that day basically against all odds at Carlton's home ground to draw with Carlton, & make the 1976 finals as a result of that draw. The Bulldogs deserved to make the finals that year.
Bulldogs had an excellent team at this point but it never achieved much as they sold most of their best players to keep the club afloat. In this match they had Featherby, Dunstan, Dempsey, Huppatz, Low, Morrison, Quinlan, Sandilands, Templeton, Stoneham, all of whom finished up at other clubs.
Love the elbows in the bumps

Carlton 15.17.107 (Goals: McKay 4, Ashman 2, Armstrong 2, Keogh 2, Walls 2, Jesaulenko, Mangels, Ohlsen) drew Footscray 15.17.107 (Goals: Dunstan 3, Featherby 3, Quinlan 3, Templeton 3, Huppatz, Low, Morrison).
Those were the days: when most players wore their socks up. Let's campaign to bring it back 😄👍
