Corvettes are so maneuverable that i think the points spent on Engine Techs and Madine can be spent else where. I mean, CR90s have been able to do what they do effectively even before Madine was in the game!
Master Of The Fleet I agree it isn't necessary, but watching the look on someone's face when you set-up pointed one way and then pull a 180 degree turn and play on the other end of the board is priceless.
Master Of The Fleet I loved that episode. Watching the Liberty side step the ISD and then flank it to go after the Interdictor was impressive. I've run a similar list swapping in an MC30 for the Salvation. Great fun!
Btw, more broadly, thank to all of you for the effort you put into your channel. I and many others have learned a lot about how to play, especially at higher levels, by watching Ken, Luke, and Nick play. The explanations as you play I'm sure slow down the games greatly, but they help those of us with less chance to get in regular games simulate additional play. Thank you all!
That ramming plan is particularly devious. I wonder what the minimum number of CR90s(I guess some hammerheads too if you run out of cr90s) is needed to take down an ISD assuming you're shooting and ramming every available chance you get
Back in the wave 1 days we used to run these with Enhanced Armanents so i can see the value of DTTs. For an extra 2 points you gurantee that at least 1/2 or 1/3 of your dice is a double hit however which is amazing! - Vet. Cap Ken
0:30 I disagree. CR90B can be awesome.... if you put Dodonna's Pride on it, and don't rush it into strong firing arcs. I've used it to great success in Dodonna's fleets, as an Interdictor crippler (choose engineering crit) and AFMk2 killer.
It can be, in niche situations. You can look at the past store champs, regional, national and worlds data and you won't find Dodonna's Pride used at all. In the situation you described, there is only 2x Power Failure (half engineering rounded down) in a 52 dmg card deck. Even with Dodonna, you have around an 8% chance of drawing it. To top it off, both those ships can get rid of the card with an engineering cmd+token, which they will most likely have. Additionally, the shields of those ships will still be intact. Then you have to cop the return fire, at medium to close range. You can also do the same thing with greater effectiveness with an MC30. Its tougher and packs a bigger punch. In saying all that, i do agree that Dodonnas Pride can be fun and very satisfying to pull off so my hat goes off to your sir! -Vet.Cap Ken
This kind of visual guide is incredibly helpful. I hope you all have a lot more episodes planned for this series.
Great video! Even as an Imperial player I still found it very useful
I love this so glad to see you showing battle plans and explain tactics like this
General Madine with TRC90s w/ Engine Techs is fantastic. Who doesn't love 180 degree turns at speed 5?

Nate Hammar more priceless when done with a Liberty!

Intel Officer Luke demonstrates this against pretty effectively here.

Master Of The Fleet cool thanks!
i will try some of this out. thanks
Have you tried Double Turbolaser Turrets on these? I've found them to be pretty good

Honestly, I like cr90 B's with sw7 ion cannons. 44 points and every die they roll can be damage. I tend to run then as a pair to harass
I like that build too, but i just find that you can do the same if not more with an mc30.
-Vet. Cap Ken
But you can do even more with 2 CR90B's AND an MC30 :D
Lol or just 2 MC30s!

Ah, but variety is the spice of armada
Ahh but gr75s are the spice of any fleet!
Moar BatReps!!!

And of course, Intel Officer Luke might be flying it to support you at our next event hehe
