Hi, my name is Nicholas. I'm a crackhead. I'm almost 8 years sober from crack cocaine. I couldn't be happier. It took a long time to admit it but i did. I'm more proud of myself now than I've ever been. If I can do it, you can to. Just be honest with yourself and make a change. You got this!
Proud of you! I'm 16 days clean from years of prescription pain meds. So glad that I finally summoned the courage to take my first step to get clean. We've got this!!
He did an interview where they played this song and I'm not sure he was ready and it made him cry all over again on national TV. It was hard to watch. Look up Megan Kelly interview with Tom MacDonald. Hugs Ray. We love every part of you. Funny, serious, vulnerable. All of you.
This is what music ment to be...heartfelt, honest, and reflecting on true stuff...not the mad made up gucci shit. Real people coming together. Loved your honest response.
Number 1. It's your channel, you can cry if you want to! Number 2. Let it out, brother!!! Holding the pain in makes it worse. Number 3. I know you have been on the Tom Journey for a while. It's why I'm here. A great deal of his music is about healing and helps others find that healing they have been searching for. My advice? Play this song until the tears dry up and you can listen to it with a smile. Love ya!
This was emotional and it's real emotions! Thank you for being vulnerable enough to show it! Tom did an interview with Megyn Kelly and she played this song. He got super emotional, like you. He said it had been 2 yrs from the time he did this song to the interview since he had heard it. He started crying and just like I did with you, I teared up and cried with him too! I have never had an addiction problem, but I feel for anyone going through it! Keep staying strong!! #HOG
10 yr crack cocaine addiction not to mention alcohol. It's hard to step away from. It consumes your life. If you can't own up to it, you'll fall victim to it. Stay blessed ❤
@14:40 as soon as you said those words: "...and my wife" that right there said it all! that hit deep!!! ...with the hook of this song "Woah, ay, oh, ay, oh!!!" really powerfull, that is pure Love and faith. happy for you and anybody who knows and can relate! keep livin up to it and many blessings to you and yours. I'm proud of you! we are all in this together.
You're so strong for sharing your true emotions with us to this great song - we support you and hope you keep heading down the positive track. Sounds like your on a good path and sending prayers you keep to your course. Good luck and ❤the reaction!! #HOG❤🖤
Tom has not only helped many get sober but has literally saved lives and is a big reason we ride with him and Nova who is so important in his life and an inspiration on her own. I deeply felt your turmoil and I will say to you that through all the hardships and selfish things you have done to your wife and family if they are still there it is because they not only love you but they NEED you in their lives. Your wife saw beyond the drugs, booze or both, straight to your soul and knew the want, will and strength you have to keep fighting because in spite of who that person was she could see YOU. There is good and bad inside all of us and because you are so genuine, so real is why we also ride with you. I might not always show up but I subbed a long time ago and am still here so, for what it's worth, I appreciate both your sides but truthfully I've only seen one. HangOverGang is a family and an army and we care and are here. Thank you for trusting us enough to let us in.🙏🏽✌🏽#HOG4EVER
Hey Brother, I have seen several reactions to this record and this by far the best and realest one yet. You are an inspiration and please don't ever apologize for being real. You are never alone, we are in this together brother. I have been clean for 14 years and still fight battles. We are the strongest gang because we've had to be. Mad Love and Respect Brother Absolute Fire 🔥🔥🔥
This is a very powerful song and your reaction made it 1000x more powerful. I love how you open up more and more with every reaction you do about your life, it makes your message all the more powerful. Please don't think you need to apologize for becoming emotional, you letting it out shows how far you've come and how strong you are. And always, 🔥🔥🔥 reaction, thank you Ray.
Thank you for your sharing your story!! Inspirational, Courageous and Emotional just like the song!! Needed to hear this right now!! Thx again!! #HangOverGang 💕🙏🏼💕🙏🏼💕🙏🏼💕
I remember when I first heard this song, I finally quit drinking. I've relapsed super hard recently, thank you for this reaction. I'm going to get back on track. This song really hits strong
Hello, Ray. I saw this in the queue and the title, "Sober," caught me because of my brother. His birthday is on Saturday, and he's been gone two years in late October. He left too soon; we didn't get to finish sharing with each other about our journeys (long stories). He told me some that resonates here in the song, and in what you share. I just want you to know that I'm hearing you and the song with my whole heart and spirit. It's a gift. So, thank you. This is Grandma Ellen, over and out.
Please don't ever apologize for being real. I can't speak for anyone else, but I appreciate you sharing a piece of your story. More people than you realize can relate.
Bro, love you man. What people need to understand is that you can’t escape pain and anguish with drugs & alcohol. All you do is put that crap in a storage locker. When you decide to get clean and sober, that stored pain & anguish come out and you will feel it all at once. We all go through crap in our lives. It’s really is best to face it as it comes and not store it for the future. Tom can’t watch this video, it reminds him of how dark life got and he never wants to go back. #HOG The Army and we are here for each other when needed. ✌🏽
Thank God that you're still with us, Brother!! My favorite reactor because you are so REAL!! I'm 16 days clean from 5-6 years of prescription pain pills and clearing the fog. I know there's still a battle ahead, but the biggest battle was deciding to put them down. Stay strong, my Brother, we're with you!! Much love!!
We all have gone through addictions and I feel your pain. I am glad you overcome and now your doing better. Tom Macdonald was an alcoholic but now he recovered. Madchild is the an OG and he was doing battle rap and he been around a very long time.
This got me choked up! Even though I am a woman, I have a similar experience with addiction. I left that life and joined the Army. It takes a lot to decide to get sober, stay sover, and overcome the struggle to become not just someone, but somebody to ourselves because we are worth it. When you are an addict, it is so hard to see the light- but when you do- be proud of who you are, not where you were, but to be why you are..... this song hits hard and hits hone! Great breakdown and reaction 👌 💯🔥
Never apologize for emotions. We all have them, just as we have a lot of the same problems. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and stand back up when you fall. Great reaction. ❤
As someone with an addiction, that line when he says “This is a war that I’ll fight forever” is fucking true. It fucking sucks and you will fall sometimes, but it’s how you bounce back that counts. Keep fighting everybody
Great reaction brother. Really got me in the feels. We are all in the same boat and we need life preservers like you and Tom. That's content with value. Thank you! Georgia HOG fam for life!
This is a Grammy song and unfortunately, not many know about. Tom makes me realized that most of us in the struggles keep it real in God eyes…there must have been a war for us be born here, up there.🇺🇸🇵🇷🇨🇦✌️🙏❤️hog 4 life. Thank you 🙏
You can keep strong and I am sorry that you had to go thru that and just keep fighting just like I do with the mental side of war that I have to fight with for the rest of my life don't ever give up we have you for support and to talk to us if you need because you always ask us to reach out to you for help and support now I am telling you I am here to support you and for you to take to
♥ soooo glad I get to rock with you! Tom is the truth and he has a way of bringing truth out of us too! Never apologize for showing feelings or emotions.
I feel the passion from Tom. I'm 56 now and been a drummer since I was 15 toured North America and Canada for 11yrs. Working w/ several bands. I'm an addict also but now sober from all the do ppl e n coke, but I will ALWAYS BURN BABY!#5150#ADDICTIONS REAL../HOGFOREVER ❤
I'm 14 years SOBER. This song hit me like a truck. I ugly cried. Anyone who has gone through it knows the pain. Let the tears cleanse those wounds. Rest easy in the knowledge you are loved, you are valued and you have no reason to apologize for showing your emotions. We got you brother. #HOG4LIFE
Ray, I just watched your reaction. Man to man, at this very moment, I want to give you a hug like I would hug one of my sons or my brother to let them know that they are loved, that they are worthy, and that they are not in the fight alone. I nearly lost my only brother to alcohol, so I understand the struggle from the outside looking in and feeling helpless. I am so proud of your strength, your self awareness, and your willingness to be true to your honest self on your channel. Ray, I may be a 67 year old white man, but I truly see you as my brother. You are appreciated and sincerely loved!! ❤️❤️❤️
Most relatable reaction I have ever seen to this song. Proud of you man. You are a bright light here on UA-cam. We appreciate you sharing your story with us! ❤️
Yeah, we old school Ray Ray, I'm 56 recovering addict... it's an everyday battle. I used to tell myself that I'll get high tomorrow just let me make it thru the day. Then tomorrow would come and I'd do it again. It worked for me for the longest time! U good brother, keep doing what you do best.#5150☆/HOGFAM 🖤🤍💯💫
You are loved by so many people I admire you Im by myself and I got diabetes and I shouldn't be here me and my girlfriend overdosed and I snapped out of it and I had to save my love of my life now it's been over 15 year's clean off the shit much love and respect
Never apologize for being human and showing emotion. Us men especially hold too much in. That's why we die quicker than women, have more heart attacks than women, and we have higher rates to drug and alcohol abuse and suicide. All the bullsh*t we were told growing up, be a man, suck it up ect is just killing us. I'm proud of you bro. Most of us that have been in the trenches fighting addiction never see a peaceful end to our war. They unfortunately die on the battlefield never knowing peace. Living on Long Island I've lost so many friends and family from overdoses and suicide. Whenever a friend passes away and people ask what happened to them and we just say it was the Levittown curse and they all know overdose. I just hope everyone out there still struggling makes it out alive.
A man takes the drink, then the drink takes the man. Then we go to war regaining ourselves. The good news is we don't have to do it alone. 37 years sober myself and worth the fight. Keep up the good work Ray.
Ray i feel u I lost a 21-year marriage and three daughters because of addiction can't beat yourself up though brother You're helping people through doing this and you'll never know how many lights you change until the afterlife but you don't need to see a reward cuz you reward will come after you die Love you brother keep up your reactions
Damn. I thought I was a tom fan. I just realized this was an old song. I thought I heard them all. Thanks for sharing and much respect for beating the odds.
Grace is a gift we so easy give to others yet not to our selves! Shame and guilt is the worst poison to the soul! Iv been in Recovery for almost 10yrs and I live to help the next suffering family member! Living in Admends I guess! We in recovery know what it's like to be in the dark so we always have to shine a light✨ HOG has helped me during my darkest times!!! This song is an Anthem 🙏
As a recovering addict and alcoholic with 3.5 years sober, I'm living the life I never thought possible. This song is what made me find TM, you could just tell not a word was fake. Same with your reaction, don't ever apologize for being real, never know what reaction will save a life. Got me as a sub. Real shit.
Ray! I appreciate you brother! Got me teary-eyed with showing vulnerability. I gravitate to channels/ artists that I Relate to and happy I found your channel when I did.
As far as the recovery anthem, I totally agree, because I've been on both sides of this fence, and just got totally clean since Oct-1-2022 after 35 years, lost a baby daddy, a little sister to that BS and almost myself a time or 2, Tom, Yela, Struggle,Jelly and most definatly Upchurch, they were all in my ears while I was silently fighting my demons, and I am forever grateful. Music gets me through every hard time I have ever had and will have. It's Ok Uncle Ray, they forgive you. You got this man ! Appreciate ya Uncle Ray !
As a recovering addict myself I felt everything you said. It's probably one of the hardest thing I'll ever do. You getting emotional made me emotional because I one hundred percent know how it feels, all the guilt and hurt you've done by almost being so selfish for so long. Then you realize how many years you just wasted. Life is too short to be wasted like that. Congratulations on being 7 years sober. But I understand that it's always going to be there lurking in the background just waiting for you to go back. That's what makes it so hard
The BEST the BEST reaction I've seen from you brother you always speak your truth & yes WE are the strongest group of people. We usually are smiling & laughing together now we're crying together that's FAMILY #HOG4LIFE
Love your comments man My life changed when I first listened to Tom Fighter was the first , then I searched for everything else Tom has done Love Toms work love it The world needs more people like 🫵🏻 man Keep the real world alive
I know what he’s going through, ivy been there , it’s been 37 years sober for me. Addiction happens to everyone , it sees no color, your right we are stronger , at same time we’re also calculating , cunning, the way we could always figure out a way , Guilt was the worst for me , the things I did , and people I hurt ,we’re all so close for what we went through ,I’m proud of you brother, I know how strong you are , love ya brother .
Hey you good brother. Thats what makes you one of my favorites to watch is how real you are. How your able to cry its encouraging bc sometimes people tells as men we are not suppose to cry but whats make us even stronger is us crying as men its a good thing even Jesus weeped. So you good. Im proud you found your outlet that keeps you clean and you smiling and be proud of ur attitude is amazing keep up the good work. Ill keep you in my prayers my brother.
I feel everything you said my guy. I was lucky enough that my wife didn't have to go through that with me, and i was in a place where i could help her get clean, but my family did. I still have times where I see the questioning and mistrust and its all so deserved on my end. And when they treat me like a time bomb waiting to go off. And i can't help but be mad at myself. I almost ended it too. And i did so much damage i now have permanent health problems. But when i see people like you be so raw with it, it reminds me that its possible to make it through. And this gang that we are in wouldn't be the same without you. And we got you blood.

Hello, Ray. I saw this in the queue and the title, "Sober," caught me because of my brother. His birthday is on Saturday, and he's been gone two years in late October. When a true song meets with a honest reaction ...❤❤❤❤
You never disappoint Mr Ray!
You are real, you are strong! Respect! LOT'S OF LOVE🫂❤️
Hey brother, great reaction. Much love

HOG in the house! Ray, you are amazing! keep being you.
We all have gone through addictions and I feel your pain. I am glad you overcome and now your doing better. Tom Macdonald was an alcoholic but now he recovered. Madchild is the an OG and he was doing battle rap and he been around a very long time.
Tom and Nova together are powerful. His words and messages hit your brain and her passion hits your soul.

Real shit.
I just paused the video at the beginning. I'm a tom fan. I haven't heard this song yet. I'm looking forward to hearing it and ur reaction. Let's go!
Dude! You are a beautiful BEAUTIFUL soul! Never apologize for being human.....
I appreciate that!

Don’t be sorry be the man you are !!! 🙏
I still can’t figure how anyone can not like this guy, actually either one of these men, Ray included
Thank you for shoring. As all of us that have been there I want to how proud I am of you. One day at a time. Much love 💜💖❤️#HOG
Much love. Thank you for sharing. God bless. ❤🙏👍
hog is a fam. much luv my man!!!! hog4life!!!
This reaction is exactly why I love this guy . Honest reactions right here ⬆️!
The BEST the BEST reaction I've seen from you brother you always speak your truth & yes WE are the strongest group of people. We usually are smiling & laughing together now we're crying together that's FAMILY #HOG4LIFE

I absolutely love your reactions and how you think. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
God Bless You 🙏🏻 stay strong.
I appreciate u my guy and thank ubfor having me back u all know am there fornu all
