Thanks for the video. I always put a little amount of white grease on threads, to remove them easy in the future changes.

I actually bought a magnet on a flex hose to instead of an magnetic socket. Asked to a magnetic socket idiot at O’Relly auto didn’t give it to me. When to Harbor Freight. Other than that excellent video 👍🏽

@eddeewhat5553 that's an awesome work around. I may try to use that in the future if I am in a pinch. I always have hose around. Appreciate the feedback on the video as well!

Thanks for the video, man. I'm curious as to why the plugs were being changed at 40k miles when they're scheduled to last 120k?

Maybe Toyota is not using the platinum tip ones? Definitely not iridium. But my maintenance manual says 60,000 intervals.

@@masterwrong3110 I got you. You're more than likely correct for your model. My wife has a 2020 XLE.

@@nottelling4828 buddy, I came to inform you that Toyota is using the iridium denso spark plugs on the chr. Just changed mine yesterday. And the 15mm worked better than the 9/16 socket in my case. Hope it helps👍🏻 idk why Toyota recommends 60k spark plug intervals then? That’s weird

Denso spark plug SC16HR11 is the exact spark plug # that is stamped on them

Since this guy is wrong on the spark plug socket (14mm), i better Look for the Gap somewhere else

Good to know bro! Good luck finding a 14mm spark plug socket at a walk in store in a pinch 😀

So I’ve been at it for 20-30 minutes on one and it won’t come off. Never changed them before and I’m at 82,000 miles

Have you tried spraying a bit of penetrating oil e.g. PB Blaster or something similar. I'd spray inside the spark plug tube, let it sit for a few minutes and got back at it gently though so not to break spark plug inside hole

@@EngineeredMojo I got it! Had to use a 15mm instead of the 9/16. 9/16 socket was barely grabbing it, just slipping. 15mm broke them right away

@Master Wrong nice! Glad it worked out easily
