Wow J, what an unexpected surprise. My wife startled me saying “Babe you’re on TV!” Thanks for the shoutout man!
I’m actually in talks with a salesperson @ a local Chevy dealer here in Michigan on an LT Z71 Trail Boss with the Duramax. Only way I won’t get it is if I land a more favorable deal on a GMC Sierra.
Either way it’ll have the 3.0. I appreciate the push in the right direction. 💯
Boss moves...glad you are working out that deal. Congrats....can't wait to see your new truck soon.
@@JWilliams Quick question: I’m gathering insurance quotes, and so far it seems insuring a diesel powered vehicle is slightly more expensive than a gasoline powered counterpart. Did you have a similar experience?
Your fuel mileage is amazing…. I thought I saw u had a dud once and swore off the baby Duramax? Glad u gave it a second chance. Great content!
Yes that's awesome 22 sierra duramax 26 mpg when I took a trip down to Savannah GA
Beautiful truck! Can't wait till I can find one in blue with the blue interior.
Similar mileage on mine too. Beautiful truck. Tks for the vids
The LZ0 is a great update. Steel pistons, better cooling, simpler cooling valve and higher fuel pressure.
I just love it
Whenever I get back on my feet I’ll be looking into one of those.
That is a beautiful truck I have a 2024 chevy silverado LTZ with the 5.3 the best that I have gotten with is 24.8
305 HP 495 TQ
Beautiful Truck... I think you might have sold my on that dark red color!!!
I wonder what that truck could do if it was deleted and tuned!?!?!?
I have a 2024 high country with the 3.0 . U guys say the best BUT what is ur average? I took ours too Florida on AVERAGE I was getting 32-33 mph traveller 75-80 mph per hour. Put 3500 mph on this particular trip.
Very impressive
I got nearly 41 mpg on my 21 Denali on a 60 mile straight road with a few curve was shocked coming from a truck.
Hi.What gears in the rear end and does it have the max tow package?
Yes, good question? Also is it 2wd or 4wd?
2022 LTZ Best so far 36mpg with LM2 11,000 miles on truck
Mr Williams, did you get another truck? This color looks spectacular and your mileage is spectacular. Are you having any problems with your 2.7 truck? Enjoy
That's awesome gas mileage!!
your diesel truck is getting the same fuel economy as my 2019 Chevrolet Malibu with the 1.5L turbo-4. crazy.
WOW, I never thought of it like that...lol, that's wild.
Gimme a L5P all day!!!
Any oil consumption on duramax?
I switched to amsoil. Have a 2020. Got 31,000 miles on it never had any oil consumption on it. Change oil at 5000 miles. Like it real well. Take care of it. It will take care of u.
@@kylekiser3567 thanks👍
39mpg. what mph were you doing to get that?
70 on average the entire trip, and sometimes 80
@@JWilliams Hi J, glad to see that you rejoined with the 3.0 Duramax. I was hoping that you would reacquaint with one as I'm still loving my antiquated LM2 2021 Sierra. I was wondering what your average MPG was for that 70 to 80 mph trip as the high MPG value can be a little confusing for viewers.
For example, I can get some really good MPG values if I reset my MPG counter and coast down a long downhill grade, but as soon as I start putting my foot into the pedal to maintain speed to climb the next and/or future uphill grades, my MPG starts dropping but my value will continue to show that same MPG value unless I some how beat it with an even better MPG value.
Unless your MPG value matches closely with your MPG, the value doesn't really mean much because the MPG value is what closely reflects impact at the pump and in the wallet. When I tell friends about my awesome fuel mileage that I'm getting, I always use the MPG as that's what really counts. When I run 70 to 75 mph on the highway, I can average around 28 to 29 mpg (which is still awesome) and that reflects real closely with how many gallons of fuel were consumed since my last fill up even though I might have seen some really good MPG values during the trip. I absolutely can not achieve an MPG of 39 MPG running 70 to 75 mph with my 3.0 Duramax and would venture to say that no one can.
Anyway, I just wanted to clarify this to folks so that it minimizes any confusion. The best way to measure true fuel milage (which is still average) would be to fill your tank as full as possible and record how many miles are on the odometer and at your next fill up, fill the tank completely full again and take the miles driven since your prior fill up and divide them by the number of gallons required to fill the tank. This is your MPG. Some times, my truck's computer is close to what I calculate and some times it's off a little bit in either direction.
Thanks for continuing to share the great content and love for the 3.0 Duramax. As long as I continue to have great luck with mine, I can't ever see me running a gasser in a pickup.
2022 refresh 3.0 with 20,000mi!! Wait til your coolant control valve fails…like mine and so many other people out of a vehicle waiting for months for a part that isn’t available!
It won't, my truck has a special coating on it that protects me from things falling apart like that.
So many people? Odd I’ve never heard of it and the dealer I deal with has also never. I’ve got the 2023 with 18,000 and no issues and great mileage also. 40.2 mpg on flat land and at 60 mph. Best truck I’ve owned so far. But time will tell ultimately.
2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3.0L Duramax had 277hp and 460lb-ft of torque. The 2.7L TurboMax has 310hp and 420lb-ft of torque.
Idk who told u that but the duramax make 305hp and 495 tq
305hp and 495 tq is the current diesel, you are thinking of the older model. Thanks though
I put hotshot every fill up treatment in my LZ0. I noticed more MPG, quieter and smoother. Seems faster too. 39MPG is pushing it. I think you had a tail wind ;)
No, it’s possible. Just last Saturday my average for a 80 mile round trip, mostly highway, at 60 mph was 41.7 mpg per the computer. Even took a photo cause some won’t believe it. If you’re not aggressive, great mileage can be had.
I currently with 2022 sierra duramax. No regrets.
Disel more expensive but:
With (citi rewards ) i get
50 cents off gallon.
