Down the street from were I grew up was a Tomboy. She played tackle football, built forts, jumped her bike, went trick or treating with us and her dad taught me how to work on cars with her. She built a 1969 GTO ended up going to Prom with her in her car. One incredible lady that turned into an Engineer. For us she was just another awesome kid who didn’t mind getting hurt or dirty, stayed out till the street lights came on. She is still one of my closest friends and she never thought she was a boy just gravitated towards what we did

My sister in law gave birth to my niece when I was 5. After seeing a birthing magazine, I wanted to be a boy. I grew out of that. Now, as a grandmother, I am grateful that these people couldn't do this to me then.

I am a healthcare provider and have been told I need to call patients in the behavioral health unit by their chosen pronouns. I said to the staff in that unit that I would NOT do that. They complained or just voiced their opinion that I need to so that the patients would not get upset and act out so as to make their JOBS easier. I then stated, "Is this a Behavioral Health Unit or a Behavioral Accommodation Unit?"

My daughter went through about a 6 month phase thinking b/c she liked skateboarding, motorcycles, BMX biked she must be a boy. She dressed and acted like it. The difference with me and crazy parents is that I never agreed. She hated me for awhile and was very upset I didn't support it. Now she's a beautiful young lady very happy in life.

We didn’t have a phone or cable. Those were luxuries. Didn’t have car insurance either. The babysitter had to be paid First. No child support. By the Grace of God, the daughters He gave me, have jobs where they make 6 figures. I can’t tell you how proud that makes me. They over came their upbringing.

Totally agree. Former med student with kids that have come out as bi, gay, and just didn’t know what they wanted. I supported them all but not once did they ever try to change genders. As a kid, I wanted to be adopted by the neighbor because she made more cookies than my mom. And they had store bought bread! My kids all preferred home made, and that’s all they eat. I grew up eating that and just wanted what other kids had because it was different. Kids are trying to find who they are and what they really want. They don’t need adults mucking up the water. I am supportive of personal choice after lots of therapy and a lot of soul searching. I have transgender adult friends who I would agree with being born in the wrong bodies….but they’ve done a lot of research on themselves and are much happier now. Kids should just be allowed to be kids and not have to worry about any of that.

I was the biggest Tomboy ever in elementary school. I played Barbies with my sister sometimes, but more often than not you’d find me climbing trees, collecting insects, snatching tails off of lizards and playing sports with the boys. I remained this way through high school where I ran track, played volleyball and basketball. I am now a mother and can’t imagine how my life would’ve been changed had my love of the outdoors and sports been taken as me “feeling like I was a boy” and been pumped full of testosterone to help me “become my true self”. I was simply a Tomboy, and that’s okay. Girls can like to do “boy” stuff without actually wanting to be a boy. I’m so glad this narrative wasn’t being pushed when I was a child.

Then when she had to be told at 10, what her monthly cycle was going to be happening and she really got upset and said it was so unfair. Gratefully no one encouraged her to actively work to change who God intended her to be.

I am a healthcare provider and have been told I need to call patients in the behavioral health unit by their chosen pronouns. I said to the staff in that unit that I would NOT do that. They complained or just voiced their opinion that I need to so that the patients would not get upset and act out so as to make their JOBS easier. I then stated, "Is this a Behavioral Health Unit or a Behavioral Accommodation Unit?"

My daughter went through about a 6 month phase thinking b/c she liked skateboarding, motorcycles, BMX biked she must be a boy. She dressed and acted like it. The difference with me and crazy parents is that I never agreed. She hated me for awhile and was very upset I didn't support it. Now she's a beautiful young lady very happy in life.

I so appreciate your views Tom. I’ve been there. Raised 3 daughters when their dad left us. Couldn’t pay rent, even though I worked 60 hours a week. Electricity and water turned off countless times. We didn’t have a phone or cable. Those were luxuries. Didn’t have car insurance either. The babysitter had to be paid First. No child support. By the Grace of God, the daughters He gave me, have jobs where they make 6 figures. I can’t tell you how proud that makes me. They over came their upbringing.

I wonder if Tom realizes how he impacts ppls lives each day, and how with this simple, hilarious video he brightened my son's day, while he's in the hospital receiving chemo. I played this video in his silent hosp room while we were all just sitting there feeling sad, and this video made us all laugh so hard. My wife even had to run to the bathroom. Part sayin unless people had their eyeballs removed to identify as blind was gold. 😂 Changed our entire day at the hosp to being funny and happy. My son has cancer but joked that hes atleast grateful that he isn't blind & grateful that he never became a Gender Transformer. 😂 Just the humor of this video and how it changed all our day from sad to laughing, I wonder if ppl like Tom realizes how much of an impact they have on ppls lives.

Totally agree. Former med student with kids that have come out as bi, gay, and just didn’t know what they wanted. I supported them all but not once did they ever try to change genders. As a kid, I wanted to be adopted by the neighbor because she made more cookies than my mom. And they had store bought bread! My kids all preferred home made, and that’s all they eat. I grew up eating that and just wanted what other kids had because it was different. Kids are trying to find who they are and what they really want. They don’t need adults mucking up the water. I am supportive of personal choice after lots of therapy and a lot of soul searching. I have transgender adult friends who I would agree with being born in the wrong bodies….but they’ve done a lot of research on themselves and are much happier now. Kids should just be allowed to be kids and not have to worry about any of that.
Back in the 90s, half of my school went goth and emo for no reason. Not a single one of them ended transitioning in vampire.😂

I was the biggest Tomboy ever in elementary school. I played Barbies with my sister sometimes, but more often than not you’d find me climbing trees, collecting insects, snatching tails off of lizards and playing sports with the boys. I remained this way through high school where I ran track, played volleyball and basketball. I am now a mother and can’t imagine how my life would’ve been changed had my love of the outdoors and sports been taken as me “feeling like I was a boy” and been pumped full of testosterone to help me “become my true self”. I was simply a Tomboy, and that’s okay. Girls can like to do “boy” stuff without actually wanting to be a boy. I’m so glad this narrative wasn’t being pushed when I was a child.

My daughter idolized her older brother and wanted to be just like him. She would not wear dresses, and was upset that she was born a girl. Then when she had to be told at 10, what her monthly cycle was going to be happening and she really got upset and said it was so unfair. Now, she is 32, married and laughs about how she was so opposed to being born a girl. She completely and naturally gravitated into her gender around 11 years old. Gratefully no one encouraged her to actively work to change who God intended her to be.
