  • Sea Salt by Sherwin Williams is a timeless green neutral color with deep gray undertones. One of the most popular Sherwin Williams green paint colors, SW Sea Salt is a coastal color that also shares synonyms with slate green, slate gray, misty green gray color, muted neutral, and soft green blue paint color. Sherwin Williams Sea Salt is a beachy paint color that feels soft and calming and leans more towards the green and gray than blue. No wonder, why sea salt color is also one of the best-selling neutrals by Sherwin Williams.

Great video! Sea Salt didn't come up in your video about whole house colors. But early on here you say it is a great whole house color, but later advise not using it for the whole house but rather just a few rooms! Now I'm confused. I was planning on doing it in most of my beachfront condo in Puerto Rico, except for a Pure White kitchen and maybe a navy accent wall behind my bed in the primary bedroom. What are your thoughts about Sea Salt and SW Naval in the same room?

Hi! This is my first time viewing a video from your channel. Thanks for your hard work! One thing I wanted to put out there is this - when I watch a video about decorating, I need to see interiors or exteriors - not humans. I've stopped watching one interior decorator for that reason... he shows very little of what we want to see but a whole lot of his face... I'm not tuning in to see faces, I want to see decor and design ideas. :) Said with kindness and I'll hope you'll adopt that tip. It will make you stand out among the others.

Do you think Sea Salt could clash with Natural Tan? I know you’ve commented it can clash with Canvas Tan, but Natural Tan is more neutral to my eye than Canvas Tan.

I'm sitting here in my bed, looking at the walls that were painted in 2016 and absolutely CANNOT imagine what color I could pick that would be better? The ever changing color that never disappoints- the one on my wall-SW Sea Salt. Still so gorgeous.

I love Sea Salt. I have had it in my master bedroom and bathroom. I still love it! I'm opening up a personal life coaching business and painting my office sweet in Sea Salt too! It is such a calming color!

I used SW Sea Salt on my living room walls. Beautiful color. it looks quite green in my house. I used SW repose gray in my last house that I sold and I wanted a little bit more color. Was looking for blue green gray and decided on Sea Salt. It comes across quite strong so I'm thinking I may go with something like Big Chill for the rest of the house, maybe even repose gray again in some areas. I like that Aloof Gray also.

Oh yes. SW Repose Gray should be good if you’re aiming for a slightly warmer look as compared to SW Big Chill that’s cooler

What ceiling color is good with?
I painted ceiling 3 times. Custom match did not match, Chantilly lace too cold, White dove too yellow to my sw sea salt wall. (window is north and west)
Should I try "high reflective white" since I like little warmer feel on the room. or pure white.
    This info is very helpful.

I would suggest choosing SW Pure White for ceiling with Sea Salt walls. SW High Reflective White would work too :)

I went to drop off old cans of paint at Sherman Williams and realized there was a FULL can of Sea Salt…what was I thinking 🤦🏻‍♀️. I’m going to use it in my nail studio. It will give it a soft spa like feel. I used to have it in my old home’s living room in the desert. It looked so fresh in the open room. It’s a perfect color.

I watched your video about SW colors to go with honey oak. I honestly wasn’t a fan of the suggested colors as I have a small house and so t really like colors that have yellow undertones.
Would Sea Salt work with honey oak floors?
    Thank you

How would sea salt look in a bathroom with light beige tile and white trim?

    • @nish.onlineinteriordesign
      @nish.onlineinteriordesign  3 місяці тому

I wouldn’t recommend so :( The undertones of sea salt may clash with the warm beige tones of the tile.

Im struggling to pick paint colors. My floors are an awful gray/beige wood that runs throughout downstairs. My kitchen is big and bright, dining room is dark and my livingroom is somewhere in between. You can see all 3 rooms no matter where you are bevause of the big doorways. What do you think about sea salt in the dining, canvas tan in the living and tradewind in the kitchen? Do they flow well? Am i going to clash with the floor?

Hey Brooke, I don’t think so. They might clash and would even not complement each other so well - especially if it’s an open concept layout. I can help you further if I get to see the pictures as well. You can connect with me at nish@nishthasadana.com

@@nish.onlineinteriordesign I'm stumped on colors and this was the best we could come up with lol. All 3 rooms are painted in valspar fluffy slippers but it's starting to look washed out and areas are yellowing. It looks good with the beachy looking floors. The kitchen has huge windows white cupboards and different colors of gray backsplash. The kitchen and dining room are off to the side of the living room but where we have the couch you can see in all 3 rooms.

Darling you are well spoken and thorough. Great vid. I am going to use SS in main areas of house. I’ve used it before. What is on the walls now is destiny. (SW). I can’t stand it after 6 months. I have used SS before and it truly is a wonderful color. Thanks and God bless. 😊
