I need to thank you! After a lot of hard work I finally finished a kitchen and bath renovation. This was around Christmas time. I watched your video on whites for the bathroom and tried a handful of them and ended up using sea salt. It was perfect! Your advice really helped me get this project done. Hi I'm looking for a blue that is not as dark as navy, in the medium to almost dark range that goes with a brown/blackish roof. I would like it to be on the gray/green undertone. Any suggestions? Its for a mid century modern house, neighbors houses range from grays, charcoal, paper bag brown. other colors in the neighborhood are blues, greens, tans whites etc. I tried a ton of colors and the ones i like the best are just too dark to live with.
We are doing a kitchen with White Dove perimeter cabinets, need a blue-gray for the island and pantry. We love Hale Navy, and were thinking of a lighter shade (New Hope Gray / Black Pepper / Pike's Peak Gray) but wonder if that will be too cool (purple) with a light engineered oak floor. Do you always need a hint of green to warm things up?

Depends on how prominent the gray veins are and what type of gray it is. Gray colors have either green, purple or blue undertones. I would guess that the grey veins are not too demanding and in this case I would sample either Benjamin Moore Simply White or Ben Moore White Dove. Both of those colors are off white and tend to work really well with white quartz.
It’s a completely different vibe than revere pewter and a bit darker. If you have warmer tones in your furniture/fixed elements it likely won’t be for you!

I am a painter...we just went through over 2 years of gray gray gray colors...NO MORE, All I painted in Covid was gray walls and gray cabinets.

Not at all! I like the green undertones when you want an overall read.

What do you think about BM Thundercloud Gray? For a living room. I’ve had the living room BM Revere Pewter for so long and sick of it.

Try Benjamin Moore Van Courtland Blue--I think that would be a beautiful combination!
