I have one done by a ham, bought it at eBay. The one I have has a thicker ladder line and I actually use it as my base antenna and works pretty well. At the top of my "mast" a piece of fence pipe I had laying around, I have about 3 feet of pvc tubbing to keep the antenna a bit away of the mast.
@@javiermijares It's very similar but the ladder wire N9TAX is using is much wider. Also he does not provide adapters to make it usable with multiple radios. I'm not sure how rugged his are as well I know the CountyComm antenna will stand up to some outdoor abuse. I do like that his can go up to 100W.
Great antenna package. I ordered two of these. I have had other roll-up antennas made of ladder line. This is a durable antenna, easy to deploy, and the connectors make it easy to use on whichever HT you like. I highly recommend. K4DCJ
Looks like the DBJ-2 that Ed Fong makes.
MR Fong is a fabulous person in this field all-around great guy .

Sounds like you have a interesting setup. Do you ever use it as a portable antenna?
Neat choice of topics on the channel!
How does this antenna compare to N9TAX's roll-up slim Jim?
@@javiermijares mine is that N9TAX one.
