0:40 you don't need to worry about copyright, toby fox tweeted about how he doesn't mind about that kind of stuff, it's just his copyright team who you need to send a dispute to and it'll be sorted. but better to be safe than sorry, right?
I’m new to music and please someone answers these questions, 1. What can be used for chords? I just know piano and violin because he used that in the video 2. How can I write drums, Hihat, kicks, etc? It’s so hard since it doesn’t rythem with the melody at all
Kinda cool, but it should be noted that the "Touhou" or "THFont" soundftonts are really bad. They contain a lot of stolen and blatantly incorrect instrument sounds for the Touhou soundtracks. The only sample that is really close to ZUN's original samples is the Romantic TP instrument, which is the very distinct, beautiful trumpet sound seen mostly in Undyne's various themes, most notably Battle Against a True Hero. If you want a really GOOD pack of samples that accurately replicates the Touhou soundfonts, I would recommend the Edirol SD-90 Pack, which can be found on Musical Artifacts. Beware, though, because it's 5.46 GB uncompressed. Worth it though, because there's a lot of really good samples in there
Honestly THFont isn't even close to being a "touhou" soundfont because it literally has no instruments from the SD90 aside from romantic tp, which sounds terrible compared to the real thing anyways. BTW there's an SD90 vst that actually accurate and has all of the instruments, and it's only about 100mb
Absolutely! there so many small things that make Tobys music so unique, but it's a good intro into getting the basics of how toby foxes music is written
@@sazerae calling this the fundamentals, is like calling the entire concept of cooking the same as starting a fire. Sure, they are based on the same things, but you have to do it right to get it to be the same
That should be obvious dude, you're not going to learn the entirety of his style in like 6 minutes. Nevertheless, this video is a good way of pointing people in the direction of mimicking his general sound
@@hideswithin5450 they're not mimicking his style. They're taking generic attributes (using GM/VGM soundfonts + nes vst). His style is more than placing random instruments from said patches

I didn't know you started a tutorial channel, your editing skill is amazing.
It's always amazing, and I feel a strange catharsis when I see the final result

It’s called the ‘fundamentals’. No matter what, 2 different people can never think exactly the same, so there will always be stylistic changes
