Thank you. Even when someone is anointed by God and does His perfect will in zeal, but when they sidestep and start going into sins they get punished by God. One cannot serve both God and the devil. Had Jehu just walked in the Lord and not sinned, he would have been a great king like David. How wonderful are the ways of God and His mysteries.
Please don’t stop. Continue brother and give good teaching! The Lord is always watching and your reward will be great. Thank you for explaining to me what I’ve already read. I needed help in understanding and this video perfectly did that. God bless you friend.
This message hit home so hard!! Just finished reading 1st and 2nd Kings again and wanted to look into this story a little more because I felt it was speaking to me… your point about having great zeal but not submission, to the Lord Our God, being willing to do the works of God because of your own hatred of the worldly things, versus actually willing to do what he is commanding us to do wether we like it or not
Exactly! I’m tired of hearing the widely taught idea that God only gives us easy assignments filled only with total peace. I’m constantly in the Word and this has not been my experience as God has sent me into the Muslim community since 2005 and these missions can be very uncomfortable. If serving God is marked by total peace we would all do what God wants and live in a perfect world! Of course there is peace eventually and throughout as the natural ebb and flow of the cycle of faith and doubt about the actions we are called to take as a manifestation of earnest prayer. Never in doubting God is who He says though. Once you are past that point that is. If you still doubt God is even real, that’s a whole other issue.
Excellent! Reminds me of the 4th commandment that the world goes against (keeping the 7th day holy) b/c it doesn’t coincide with our will. Most of the Christian world fail to be submissive in this command🙁
God doesn't ask us to do hard things that He didn't ask of Himself! Jesus agonized about it until His sweat became drops of blood, yet He surrendered and submitted to "even death on a cruel cross" & "not My will, but Thine be done". No Pain, no Gain; no Proccess, no Fire! His Grace is truly sufficient! Merwyn Samuels
Jehu was selected because of his and Israel’s bloodlust, but when it became apparent that it was PURELY bloodlust, he was to be subjected to it to the same bloodlust. He therefore waited privily for his own blood, the house of Jehu lurked privily for their own lives.
Light bulb 💡 moment here. Jehu judged well concerning others but did not judge himself or hold himself to the standard. As zealous as he was, if only he had gone a bit farther he would have altered history for the better. It seems king solomon had this problem too even as wise as he was. As Jesus said Many will try to enter the kingdom of heaven but they will not. Or like one apostle said we can have anything but if we don't have love we are not actually doing anything good. These men's failures are warnings and are guides. We can cast out demons preach or heal people, but if our father isn't the center of our universe we miss the whole point. This was an interesting message good job 👍
It’s not exactly a correct characterization of Naboth’s motivations. Under the Law set by Moses, the permanent sale of land is forbidden. Naboth showed loyalty to God, and was executed for it. There is also the allegory here. The FRUIT of every tree is good for you to eat, but Ahab wanted to plant herbs, and tear out the roots of good fruit for herbs. Probably magical herbs for use in Ba’al rituals.
GOD says I will show mercy on whom I show mercy

Amen, great sermon. Studying Jehu right now in light of Trump. Seeing a lot of similarity in the two.
Around minute 28:00, I appreciate your honesty. Glad I stumbled upon this teaching. Very convicting but needed.

Thank you for this message. Greetings from Scotland
I never thought about Jehu Like that...more like Loving God with all he had. But thats an interesting statement zeal without...
Well done, sir!
I am going through. god asked me to do the hardest thi have ever done and my heart is breaking
I am also being asked by the Lord to do the hardest thing in my life. Stay strong.
It's the hardest thing until the next hardest thing.
May God strengthen you with his holy spirit.

Very good point! If it wasn’t just blood lust he would have submitted to God whole heartedly and stopped pagan practices
