If you're a staffer that fundamentally objects to your employer's policies, then you quit. But no, they want it both ways.
They're getting what they want. The Democrats for whom those staffers work know that the elected office holders are just figureheads. The staffers provide all of the day to day information, get the people where they need to be, etc. They are the glue that holds the facade together, and they are well aware that their talking head " masters " can't do the job without them. This is the result of conducting elections like it was prom night.
Sounds perfectly reasonable with some arguements but not others, by this I mean I totally agree with what you said, but if you apply the same arguement to say the vaccine, many people didn't agree with mandated vaccines but they didn't quit their jobs either, they took the vaccines inspite of it going against what they believe, -my arguement is if a whole nation had stood up and said no I don't agree with this policy of the vaccines and had refuese those policies would have become null and void because the government impose on any a society it's beliefs if people will stand up for their beliefs. One book that really brought this home to me was Gandi. He just stood firm and said no and eventually the whole of India and the British govenment had to listen to him.
What I ment to say is the govenment cannot impose on any society its rules if the people will stand up for what they believe.

His audience will too. They hoot and holler and stuff, but they're no smarter than Maher.

That's why the Demo-Rats/Deep State/RINO's are inventing all these indictments. Both trials in NY & GA have failed mostly because of political prejudice that the respective State Law Bars are going to be reviewing. Biden has proven he's incompetent. Trump is a proven commodity; peace, economic stability/growth & respect from World Leaders. Yet Maher still has TDS, which makes him Stupid!

I had a similar reaction when I saw the news story about the staffers, Who cares what they think?!? And even more importantly, were they still on the clock when they assembled on the Capitol steps? If they were, I would have docked their pay for the time spent organizing and participating in the protest. It's amazing that people don't understand their job descriptions and think that they can do whatever they want regardless of the provided work direction by their supervisors.
These people think it is their right to tell Israel that they cannot defend themselves. Why is it surprising that they think their bosses should do what they want too?

I have long thought that the biggest part of "the problem" in government is the staffers. They are the ones who stay, no matter who holds the office; because they know "how things get done"; which - by extension - means that the way things have been mismanaged so horribly all this time, isn't subject to change, because the same people are running the show. Vote out all the incumbents and absolutely fire the entire staffing rosters. Keep the cook and the cleaning crew.

Pure idealogies like communism or libertarianism do not work with humans and can never succeed in large society. Humans mostly pursue easiest means for achieving maximum self-gratification in near-term and rarely perceive or predict future negative consequences. It can result in polluting the environment or threatening the livelihood of others by wasteful or wreckless means such as over-fishing. Very few individuals are capable of self-policing in modern society because the benefits of exploitation outweigh the falsely perceived or understood long-term consequences. If you don't believe it then research what happened to forests an Europe when they were all cut down for firewood and agriculture.

When I first came to work in higher education as an assistant campus administrator, I remember being criticized by some of the office staff because “all Jones is gonna do is what the boss tells him to do…” When I called those people out on that, you could hear a pin drop. I don’t like Biden, but those people need to either resign as part of their protest or be fired.
I find it interesting all those staffers are obscuring their faces with masks. They want to feel good about making a statement, ignorant as it is, but they aren't willing to put their jobs at risk by exposing who they are. Though you can guarantee that most of them are known.

If you had a building burning down and you gave a fire hose to a democrat and a republican politician, neither of them would use it to put the fire out. I worked in government as an executive level staffer, and the pointa made here are spot on. If you can't support what the elected is doing, your obligation is to quit, not carp on the job. It is up to the electorate to decide who holds office and has the duty and prerogative to promulgate policy.
As a staffer, I held and still hold the role of the elected as a sacred role. The people chose. If I choose otherwise, I get to follow my conscience and resign, speak, and vote accordingly. That is the only way we will hold together as a functioning representative democracy.
Can we get the list of names so that when Trump wins in 2024, they can be sure to clean house and hire staff that understands their job is to support the President versus conducting seditious activity.

This is the same with the UK Civil Service and especially the Home Office. The Home Secretary made every effort to stop the migrants and the Home Office Civil Servants made it quite clear they were not going to do what they had been tasked to do.
