Thank you, Jennifer, for inviting Nelson. Such an amazing memory expert.! find it extremely helpful. I'll definitely incorporate it in memorizing vocabulary.
I can’t help myself appreciating this practical lesson . You are going above and beyond and bringing such a smart person to help your students to retain the information they study. This lesson is phenomenal and I am going to apply this technique for my Spanish language.
I love this kind of video making a conversation with another native speaker, and I can learn to listen people speaking in different speed. Thank you so much my teacher Jenifer for this sharing. 🥰😘
Thanks Jennifer, you rock❤, you invited different experts for conversation, we learned lot of things form you and them, and it increased our listening skills too.
It is a powerful session to learn how to remember the vocabulary by connecting them with something, this happens even when speaking my mother tongue. What a wonderful Idea that might help remember the words. Teacher Jennifer and your guest thank you so much indeed 😊!
Hi Jennifer! Thanks! This was a fascinating conversation that gave me food for thought! I'm delighted to hear that you also study foreign languages as a hobby. You practice what you preach, way to go! The famous Finnish magician and mentalist uses the same kinds of techniques as Nelson to memorize things. He creates mental images out of the things, which need to be remembered. As a whole, they make a storyline. It's usually a very strange story, but he says it helps. He can memorize the sequence of the playing cards in the deck of cards. He's a very talented magician and mentalist, his tricks are really mind-boggling! I have lots of English vocabulary in my passive memory. When the opportunity comes, it's easier to make them part of my active vocabulary compared to learning them the first time. I've noticed that as for idioms, it helps a bit when you learn from where the idiom originates. Pronouncing sentences out loud helps to memorize them as well. Happy midsummer fest to everyone, have fun!
Excellent presentation! Teacher, thank You!! If someday you make 1000-2000 of the most used American words with pictures that are suitable for Toefl, with a short explanation of you in one video, it will be a hit
Hi Jennifer, though it was difficult for me to understand Nelson, maybe because he has another accent different yours, your video with him was awesome. I loved it.
Thanks a lot Jennifer for your answer, anyway I could understand him the most he explained on your video, obviously, delaying the video ever time it was necessary until I could hear him exactly what he was saying, awesome video and very interesting 😉
I am learning to recognize the sounds of words and the sounds of the syllables that form words, I observe that there is a relationship even in the timbre of the voice and the intonation of the person who is speaking, with the process of learning the intended language learn. So I'm learning how to learn. After a while, listening to audios, repetitively and not exhaustively, this process becomes automatic. The brain learns to manipulate the sound particles that are the building blocks of any language. This does not just depend on the capacity for conscious memorization.
@@JForrestEnglish I'm here to learn, your teaching method allows me to make great progress in learning this language, English and I thank you very much for that.
Thanks, Nelson! Congratulations on your achievements as a memory athlete! I believe that good memorization techniques are very useful in learning new languages. I found it very useful to associate words with some visual elements, like the association dog - chain as a reminder of chien. Thanks, Jennifer, for conducting this amazing interview. Your memory is also very good! ❤
