Thank you! This video gave me courage to just do it. That I can start plotting and then my plotting process can evolve. I don't have to be afraid of being stuck in one process.
So glad it helped get you started! My process changes all the time so definitely don’t put pressure on yourself to stay to the same way of doing it. And in my case it’s even different for every series. Just have fun with it! Good luck! ❤️
A beat is essentially a unit of storytelling. It can be a scene or an entire chapter or a sentence. Essentially it’s a way to define a concept or specific moment in the plot and/or character arc. So the All is Lost beat as an example is the part of the story where the character feels at their lowest.
would love a thriller plotting video!
Will add it to my list of videos to make ❤️
Still waiting lol

Do you have any tips on how to write/plot multiple projects at the same time?
Perfect timing! I'm actually working on a video for next week on how to work on multiple projects. Stay tuned!
As a intuitive writer(pantser) I struggle with plotting. Perhaps index cards might help with planning. Thank you
I really hope index cards help! Always nice to try new things to see what sticks
Can you explain what you mean by a beat?
