    Thank you! This video gave me courage to just do it. That I can start plotting and then my plotting process can evolve. I don't have to be afraid of being stuck in one process.

    As a intuitive writer(pantser) I struggle with plotting. Perhaps index cards might help with planning. Thank you

    Can you explain what you mean by a beat?

      A beat is essentially a unit of storytelling. It can be a scene or an entire chapter or a sentence. Essentially it’s a way to define a concept or specific moment in the plot and/or character arc. So the All is Lost beat as an example is the part of the story where the character feels at their lowest.
