The build up, the music, the flashback, the bond of family, everything was perfect.
I cried watching that until that post-credit scene left me speechless.....
It was the best roller coaster feeling moment from an anime....

I shed a tear at the sheer artistry, I have never seen a fight scene so beautiful, so perfectly animated, perfect additions of cgi, the visual composition, who ever directed or did the key animations in this series poured their passion into this. They understood the source material and said, lets do our fkn job and elevate the shit out of this.

I didn't cry because the hinokami kagura felt like an ass pull. It took away from the whole scene. He spent two years learning water breathing but somehow could remember sun breathing from one conversation he had with his father when he was like 5.
