I soils are stripped of essential minerals like iron, copper, iodine, selenium and many others. Yes try to buy organic yet even they are lacking the vitamins and minerals you need because our soils are devoid of nutrients that are necessary. Supplements have to be researched and good ones cost more than some of the cheap ones people buy at stores like Walmart. Even pharmacies don't always order brands that are quality.
