I am a 35 year old alcoholic, that first discovered Lucy Spraggan via the original Beer Fear song about 2/3 years ago, when I was in the deepest depths of crippling anxiety/depression. It was my most played, happy-time (usually, but not always) when drinking, favourite song.
Now that I am in recovery, Beer Fear part 2 is my new favourite. What an incredible journey Lucy has been on! I have no words to describe how much this song inspires and helps to keep me motivated to be a better, and most importantly, * sober * person on the harder days.

I first heard her song when it was played in Xfactor, I was 16. Beer fear. I lived my teens and early twenties with alcohol, parties, and drugs. When I turned 24, I stopped cold turkey. It's been 3 years now. Sober and happy. And it's crazy to think that I feel like Lucy is on the same journey as I went through. And with everyone here too who can relate.

I know that if I had heard this song 10 years ago, I would've said it's bs, nothing changes and life is meant to be suffered. It makes me happy to know that enough has changed for me to be able to agree with this song, and look forward to what the next 10 years will bring.
