      Going camping in less than 2 weeks. Trying to decide on either a 10x10 straight leg canopy or the screen room you have. Any pros or cons

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  2 роки тому +1

      Pros of the screen room: compact, lightweight, and keeps bugs out (kinda sorta); Cons of the screen room: slower to set up/take down. Pros of the straight leg canopy: faster set up/take down; Cons of the canopy: bulky, heavier, and no protection from bugs

    Loving all the videos. My wife kids and I have tent camped for years. Now we are upgrading to a Coleman sun ridge for our first pop up. He have been looking for quite some time for a good pop up. And this one came along. Super excited to take it out!!!

    My husband and I just got our fist PUP and have been re-watching your videos for ideas, tips and tricks. Love what you guys do and can't wait to start our own adventures! Currently painting the inside and the slide out dinette (the space behind it that pushes into the camper when put away) is our biggest challenge so far.

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  3 роки тому +1

      Congrats! And yes, the slideout is always a challenge. You can paint the actual slide out a little easier if you slide it in and stand in the void. However the other side, the non-moving wall, is always difficult!

    We popup camp too! Our Blackstone is life! Prior to popup camping we tent camped and also used the Blackstone all the time. If you’re reading this, here’s your sign to get the Blackstone! It’s just my husband and I, so we use the 17” Blackstone camping and have a larger 2 burner at home for friends and family. If we camp with a larger crowd, we take the larger one with us. I just love it cause I can cook every single meal on it! Great video guys!

    • @ItsPoppin

      We just picked up a 17 so we don't have to bring the heavier 22 along. Also we are going to pick up one of the blackstone prep tables and see how we like it.

    Everything is perfect on your setup. Enjoy your trips. If you want add 12 v to the cooler slide out area and have a Dometic fridge in there. That is just an option of course if you looking to upgrade something. I am working on solar and a battery to power my 12v trucker bunk heating pads one for each bed. These make the pop up more comfortable to sleep then running the heater system all night and they draw low watts. Just ideas. You might have already got it but putting it out there. Keep camping your doing great with the videos love to watch them.

    That ice chest was a great idea. I hate rachet strapping mine closed every night for racoons. And the clothes idea was pretty good also. Better than my trash bag system. Hi! Thank you guys for sharing your experience and expertise with us! We have a 2005 Jayco Jay Series model 1206. Just purchased! Never owned a camper of any type. Hubby & I have watched several of your videos. Others too but we find yours the MOST relevant & informative! Our pop up does have the cassette toilet. It also has the shower. The owners manual isn’t very helpful for either, lol! You got us up to speed on the toilet. But, we don’t know what size, type or where to find a sewer line for the gray water tank of the shower. Any suggestions or guidance is greatly appreciated! We haven’t camped yet. Practicing in the driveway! Also learning to pull and park it before maiden voyage Mid April 2022. Thanks so much! Happy Trails!!

    Asking for another:
    - Do you turn off your propane and empty your gas line by turning on the stove burners when packing up to leave? Should you or is it okay to leave the gas in the lines?

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  3 роки тому +1

      As a matter of practice, we don’t empty the gas line prior to leaving and I’ve never read anything about needing to. However, definitely turn off the propane tanks at the tank prior to travel.

    Thanks for the tour. One mod we did for bath towel racks: We hung 1/2" dowels under the bunk ends. I used 1/2" webbing and snaps to attach and remove during fold down. But there are many ways to hang. Just an idea...
    Could you comment on the usefulness of the LED light strip you put on the other camper? Did it stay glued down? Would you do that mod again on this camper?

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah, I really liked the LED strip light. So much so that I've already bought another set, just have yet to install it. They're self-adhesive and don't require additional adhesive.

    • @ItsPoppin
