The Liquid Liner has failed Now What? & Beat the Koi Tax

- Welcome guys and gals. So in this episode we discover that the liquid liner has started to peel away from the koi pond so now i need to drain it again and some how come up with a solution has anyone got any ideas?

Drain it. Cut and peel the liquid liner from around the window. CT1 all the way around. Job done 👍
Unfortunately the whole liquid liner peeled off when I drained it 😪
Get some black CT1 or some Ms 300 not the liquid line and cover where it has peeled away

Drain the grow on, then make a clean "frame" with making tape in board of the liquid liner, CT1 behind the flap of LL up to the tape, wait 10-minutes or so and gently peal off the tape, this should glue the flap down and seal the rest of the liquid liner around the window- Regards steve

really sorry mate, we've all been there! If it was me I would use silicone or ct1 behind the flap and hope it re-seals it.

I couldn't leave it like that as waste could get trapped in there or fish 😅

To be honest Jamie when buying a young yammy you really need to look for one that is as pale as you can get it as they darken as they grow if you get a really yellow one the same age it will turn a dirty yellow in a short time and not look pleasant at all 👍
Yeh that's why I have the really light clean lemon coloured one as I was aware of this anyway 😊👍

Oh Jamie, I'm just gutted for you my friend. If it were me, if it's not leaking, I would do what you suggested. Drain it a little, cut the flap off, and call it good. If it's only not sticking in that area, not leaking, then remove it and wait to see if the rest will remain adhered to the pond. You might get lucky with no further issues. If it's not leaking, it's not broke.....if it's not broke- don't fix it. That's what they say anyway 😅 Good luck sorting it out. Wishing you the very best going forward. ❤

Did u key the topcoat up before u ms300 ? Might be delaminating from the wax in the topcoat
I think you've hit the nail on the head there I didn't I cleaned it with acetone but didn't sand it

Yeh if the whole liquid liner hadn't peeled off that's what I would have done although with proper ms300
