- Approximately 270 vehicles depart Warriors Path State Park in Kingsport, TN on July 6, 2015 in support of the Confederate flag. Many additional vehicles joined the parade as it progressed through the Kingsport area.

I love seeing this. The Confederate Battle Flag flying its a beautiful site. Nothing wrong, no riots nothing being destroyed, just good people standing up for what they believe in. It’s history and heritage, nothing to do with hate. Remember that.

The Confederate Constitution mentions slavery three times
Article 1 Section 9 provides that no law interfering with slavery can be passed.
Article 4 Section 2 prohibits the states cannot interfere with the ownership of slaves.
Article 4 Section 3 provides that any territory acquired by the Confederacy would permit slavery.
If you were against slavery why would you serve a nation that took the trouble to insure that slavery would always be legal and free from government interference?

Here’s the thing. You have to understand that while wrong, these people don’t fly the flag in support of slavery. You can’t call them racist or pro slavery for it. You can call them ignorant, because they are ignorant to the truth.
I used to wear the flag. I used to use it as a symbol of “country pride”. As an Ohioian, that’s how many fly the flag. It’s not about the south, it’s about the rural life. The south flies the flag in homage of the lifestyle they think it represents. In the modern world, that lifestyle is trucks, mud, beers, guns, country and rock and roll. The flag to the majority of these people has nothing to do with race. So while I no longer associate with the flag, I also don’t hate the people that do. Unless they’ve proven their self to be racist or have other nasty qualities.
Just want to thank god for being southern. Keep our flag flying 🇺🇸

The civil war was not fought over slavery, it was fought over the aggressive implementation of a centralized(federal) government that would seek to rule over sovereign state's.
Furthermore, the north owned slaves themselves and Lincoln had a child with one of his slaves.
Slavery to that point in history was common place across the world, the south didn't invent slavery.
Also, if Americans who support the Union are so against slavery why are they not protesting and raising awareness about the slave trade in the southwest in 2020? Illegal Mexicans are working for 3 and 4 dollars an hour picking fruits and vegetables for the ignorant, spoiled American's who are brainwashed!!

The Confederate Battle flag symbol is St. Andrews Cross or the Saltire. It is the oldest known flag symbol in Europe and goes back to the Battle Of East Lothian in 832 A.D. It became the national symbol on the Scottish National flag (white Saltire with blue field). This was used as a symbol against tyranny, not slavery, supremacy or segregation as is often believed. The stars inside the Saltire on the Confederate Battle flag represent each state (or territory) that was part of the CSA. But the root of the Confederate Battle flag is the Bonnie Blue (blue field with one white star). The Bonnie Blue was first raised at the Republic of West Florida in 1810, when colonists declared independence from Spanish rule. Texas later incorporated the Bonnie Blue on their state flag. Sadly, 4 Ford trucks broke down due to oil leaks, all the Dodge trucks broke down due to transmission failures and 1 Chevy broke in half due to rust. It was reported a Toyota truck was repo'd while trying to pull out.

Demonic...🙄 ok. I believe racism got worse after the Great War. However your not going to convince me that the 94% of the South that didn’t own slaves rushed off to war to keep Blacks in chains. Robert E. Lee actually wanted to free the slaves during the war so the North wouldn’t use that as an excuse to fight. Even Lincoln said if he could end/avoid the war without freeing a slave he would. We wanted to succeed for the same reason our forefathers did against England, High Tax Tariffs being the main reason. I’m aware that slavery was a part of that, being that the Cotton Fields/Farms could not be ran otherwise. Many slaves were treated like family, educated, and loved. Whoever wins the war gets to write the history. Anyways, I’ll fly and honor that flag and many others until the day I die. Like I said before, I don’t have time to sit here and debate and get nowhere with you. Have a nice day

Look at all this pride!! Confederate flags, trucks with an average age of 1995. Tobacco spitting, low income riding for the pride of the old south. Man, I miss Kingsport. It's one of the last places a mediocre white man, woman, and child can still feel better about himself than any person of color that tries. I'm glad this was on a national holiday if it wasn't there would have been nobody to help at gas stations, serving up Mcgriddles, or doing hard labor jobs at the good fresh-smelling plant known as Eastman. Go Kingsport, not a thing has changed, and that is because of the good work that we see above.
