I have to say it wouldn't get me out of my Karoq and I also think the A3 saloon could be my next car on looks alone. My Skoda has DSG ACC satnav and knobs with its 1.5 petrol engine and I don't need a digital dashboard
The phone disconnecting happens on my Skoda Karoq and known to happen on a friend's Passat so a VW Group issue.Very annoying.Sometimes disconnects mid phone call too.
Had the same problem with my Octavia Combi till I figured out it was the damn connection on the phone side of the cable. Went browsing and got a good cable which had a way better connection to the phone, you could actually fill it click into place, 18 months later and I've not had a disconnect since and I've been on some rough roads.
I have had issues with dropped connections with cheaper cables. The official ones or ones that carry the logo seem to work better. Also noticed that the cables seem to degrade over time - I'm on my 4th cable in two years. You'd think they could build them to last longer!
Unfortunately, happens intermittently in my last and current VW Golf Estates...mentioned it at the dealership when they were in for servicing and they’d never heard of it happening. Glad to know it’s not just me. Appreciate others chiming in with their experiences. Changing to a Tiguan R-Line this week so I can hope...
Bob - my current car is an A3 Sportback Etron 2016 looks are great and it has that dial as you say - all works well. It has room for adults in the back no problem at all. Why would I want to upgrade to a Q3 ? looks like it has less space ! Had a Q5 when the car was in Audi service, much too big for us. What I need is an A3 with 64KWH battery that will do 250 miles. No hope of that for years. My next car will be a Kia then :)
Our SQ7 used to suddenly disconnect from CarPlay and screen used to disappear into the the dash without warning. Took it back to Audi who performed some electronic work and hasn’t been a problem since. Seems to be a VAG problem and not the phone.
@@BobFlavinVideo but you are the expert though, you have driven hundreds of cars so what do I know. I am just a guy with a phone who enjoys your videos 😊😊
Agree confusing model badging now. As mentioned Bob in a Sunday Service it's like Audi getting people use to fact EV probably be badged differently as won't be different engines just different power outputs.
Enjoyable review from a fellow Irish man Bob and nice car! Currently looking to change my 2018 A4 black edition which I have loved. Looking at either edition 1 in A5 or Q3. A5 perhaps a bit tired inside...leaning towards q3! Review very useful. Thank you!
God be with the days we could buy a nice sleek looking saloon car. Now it's just messy looking SUVs, and to be honest I wouldn't even call these SUVs just cars on stilts. A Range Rover is an SUV 😍 anyway that's just my opinion. Great video once again Bob
@@BobFlavinVideo 100% Bob, nice to know a professional agrees. Keep up the fantastic videos, I do share them on Facebook and tag you sometimes hope you don't mind. Keep at it man and please keep the documentaries coming I love them
Thanks Bob, as always an interesting review. Unfortunately you have probably insulted horse racing folk in both Kildare and Meath as the Irish Grand National is held in Fairyhouse, not the Curragh. 😂
That rear seat cup holder is a whopping £120 extra. However the UK cheap and nasty spec bottom of the barrel Q3 still comes with satnav as standard. It's a cheek to charge extra in Ireland for satnav in this day and age especially when every mobile phone can do it. Another cheek is a whopping £750 extra to stretch the warranty to 5 years - don't they believe in their cars?! The base model with no extras, cheapest engine but with auto gearbox option comes in at an eye popping £34,925 to ferry two adults and kids about. That's madness.
Is it all Audi marketing trickery? Surely this is an ICE car designed to trick you in to making huge monthly payments, while still using petrol or diesel to produce tailpipe poison that you know you would not leave your puppy next to...Perhaps consider a Kia e-niro and save money as well as your life.
Great no nonsense review. Let us know whenever you get a chance to test drive an ID3
I'll be standing at the top of that queue for ID3 but I'd say customers will get the first go

Wow more widespread than I thought. I've also had it happen in the A1 and Polo

A plain talking review. Right on the money Bob, great stuff 👍🏻
Thanks 👍

Hmm there's a few comments coming in like that. I'll have to ask Audi about it. Thanks David
We don’t often see Bob having to resort to reading notes, that’s how confusing Audi’s naming convention is 😂
That note took ages to write down, there's an outtake reel for members coming soon!
Yes the Audi A3 saloon best looking car on the road currently.
Absolutely and designed by David Caffery, a lovely guy from Dublin
Audi, BMWs and Mercedes have ridiculous bills and maintenance costs attached to them. But they do look nice though
All cars have mad bills these days, there's nothing left that's cheap to run
@@BobFlavinVideo Toyota and Lexus hybrid cars do not break down normal service is all it takes Bob
@@BobFlavinVideo totally disagree. Look at kias, hyundais (base and mid range models) , skodas (base and mid range models) and dacias

Great review Bob, beautiful car. Bet your glad you weren't gulping down on a coffee when the cone tested your reaction time😁
I was, that was a bit weird, so much happening at once!
BMW x1
Nice colour....Dew Silver. Mine when it arrives will be Daytona grey.
nice choice!

Totally agree the real SUV is Land Cruiser, Defender, L200 and so on. Most of these cars like Audi Q3 is a car with high suspension

Good point, I know, I should have said the Derby Festival!
Bob , you’re 6 foot tall or 2m (6ft6ins). Who said size doesn’t matter 🤔
I'm 6ft 1in and that inch is worth five more in my book!
Bob Flavin that’s what I’ve been telling the wife for 40 years 🤣🤣
Grand National is not held in the Curragh- it is held in Fairyhouse over fences
Of course, sorry I meant the Derby Festival that I grew up with
Not my sort of car but really good quality review 👍
Maby someday
A3 Saloon is gorgeous Bob but the air vents positioning and infotainment system on the dash kills it for me, totally put me off.

Can you tell me when is will be launching in india
BMW and Audi’s battle of the grill. Just make the whole front of the car a humongous grill.
Still think a normal a3 hatchback makes more sense
There is definitely a knob in the video
Who is deafly a knob in the comments as well
