Awww no sorry I didn’t see it but thank you for the recommendation. I’m glad you enjoyed the last video and I hope you all the best. I’m about to hit the road again and publish my next video. I’m trying to make one with no talking and one with talking for each stop. Hopefully the subtitles or closed captioning works well for you, if not let me know. Big love.
A couple things- adding one more block higher will give you better air movement, more 'rocket' action of the fire. Breaking out the end of the block with a hammer like that often leads to breaking the sides out where you didn't want to. Bury almost the whole block in sand, end up, leaving just a slight gap under the part you are breaking out. Tamp the sand everywhere else, which supports the rest of the block from cracking.
I've tried these. And will point out that this is great in a post weather event scenario. There would be materials available, esp brick and biomass/ lumber. But cinder blocks are not a good choice for long term use. Still a useful skill set.
Thank you for sharing! I made a rock it stove with 1 Paver for the bottom and 22 red bricks. And then got an old stove burner rack. But I love the idea that you had a four minute video thank you. Great job
4:00 I find you can get a lot of stuff for free at construction sites but I prefer to visit them at night so as not to bother the workers while they're busy building.
To improve on the design you can use a small brick at the air intake side to reduce the heat . Rocket stoves get really hot and it hard to cook something like a stew or soup without burning the bottom of the pan. Also prolongs your wood use.
This is a wonderful option when on a 0 budget. Really good. However, I've got some questions, two actually. First, would it be possible to put two together? So as to have a larger cooking area? And also, what happens to the concrete over time? Does it break or get damaged by the heat? Thanks a lot and well done
Some people use these for years without problems. You can certainly put 2 together or use both holes. I think the only danger is using them after rain when they are wet. They absorb water and can crack if they are heated too fast when wet. Let me know how it goes if you try it. Thanks for watching
Good place to find fuel for your rocket stove is from unwanted pallets. Go to any fruit shop or factory site and you will find them. Only downside is they are pine and burn very quickly but do generate a lot of heat.
Mine is smoking like crazy! My whole backyard is filled with smoke so I don’t have any mosquitoes anymore! Gotta get different cinderblocks. Mine aren’t flat on the end’s! Well thanks for your video. Back to the drawing board for me!
I added an additional block for the chimney and it seems to be working a lot better. I even boiled water. Thanks for all your help and suggestions. Love your pup!
They are called breeze blocks in the UK. Here in Mexico they call them blocks. So I guess the best thing to say is cement blocks haha I’m not sure anymore.
@@KristieAllen-go9tb I’m not a hater I’m a truth teller. You can surely use center block if you would like to but you’re going to have a mess to clean up afterwards. 🤷♂️
@@larrybuckner8619 no kidding! I tried the cinder block build. It's doable, but don't try to move any of it afterwards. To be fair, lot's of people don't know the difference. Funny because he made a video talking about the dangers of making Cement stoves and how there are tons of videos out there encouraging people to make them. I would think that concrete would act like cement would and that it is probably a bad idea to make stoves like that.

Best demonstration I've seen on the rocket stove. You Rock!
Nice its a perfect stove for my outdoor patio.

Now that is the best stove yet, thanks
Besides using wood or leaves could you also a small amount of charcoal?
You certainly could
This is a wonderful option when on a 0 budget. Really good.

Awesome, thank you so much for your quick and thorough reply, I'm planning on the material already!

Great tip! I think I'll build something like this when I have a yard and want a mini grill
Hey bro thanks for watching. Nice to see you again.
awesome idea
Thats a good way to have a cinderblock blow up in your face too...👍

The smoke usually is because of wet or fresh wood. It won’t be from the blocks I don’t think. But good luck brother. Let me know how it goes
😀 easier said than done. may be the sticks are not dry enough?

Great video guys!
Cheers from London 👍🏴🇬🇧
Actually very ingenious
Good on ya
That's pretty sweet and effective
Thank you!
Cool, or hot! Would it help to put some holes in the top of the first brick to let burnt ash from the fire fall through?
Ya that could be a good idea for sure. Just be careful not to break the block
Wonderful video. Love the demonstration.
Double burner rocket stove coming right up
Good video, can i ask which country your in?
Mexico there but now England
Ok,i like
THANK YOU!!!!
Outstanding!
Cool !
Great video. Would like to promote your idea to guys in Madagascar. You teach well. And my son liked you 200 pushups daily for a month video.
Use waste fat and grease and put a little can filled with it at the bottom. Soak the sticks in the oil too. Your stove will burn a lot longer
Lots of soot too right?
@@guerillagrace not with a rocket stove, no. All of it gets burnt up.

Are embers a problem?
Not really
Clever
GOOOOD 👏👏👏
I love the stove but I definitely would not use a plastic handled non stick pan on it.
Fair enough!
Cool! Thanks!
Those block will kick out some heat aswell.
I'm want to make one

I definitely didn't know that the end was cut that makes a difference in how it burns
