Also, you continually refer to how dangerous the city it, yet if you actually looked at the stats for other big cities you would find that is not as dangerous as other cities. The speed bumps are not due to people driving out of fear of the evil at night, they are what neighborhoods were demanding because of drag racing and wild driving by mainly young people throughout many communities. The area you were at before entering Grosse Point was one of the oldest parts of the city, those homes were built between the early 1900s and 20s...all the vacant lots were mowed and the streets clean...that should have been mentioned. Detroit is as safe as any other urban industrial city, with enclaves of violence in certain places...Know your surroundings don't venture into areas at night that are not well lit and off the main populated locations..the areas you called sketchy and unsafe I saw white people walking biking and hanging out with a horse and buggy...what about that?
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Detroit is NOT the most dangerous city year after year. Sure, it used to be, but it's falling down the list. The only article I found during a quick google search (looked at four different articles) that listed Detroit as the most dangerous city in the U.S. in 2023 kept citing information from 2018, as if 4-5 year old information on crime statistics is indicative of what Detroit is like today. I've been to Detroit, and as someone who used to be scared of it, it's a great city. I felt safe walking around it. Just like any other city of its size or larger, it has its problem areas, but the city as a whole is not nearly as bad as it used to be, even just 5 years ago. Might want to do some research next time you try to claim a city is the most dangerous.
Detroit safe??? Clean??? What just a small part of down town where the businesses are??? D is BIG and you can't pretend all that fixing and cleaning occurred thru the whole city to make it better cleaner safer etc bc it did not!
From the UK and hope to pay a visit to Detroit next year. My impressions from what I've read of the city and seen in videos is that sure there is crime there but what major city globally doesn't suffer the same problems? You just have to use your common sense when out and about, that is all. My home city of Southampton is none too safe at times, I can say... Additionally, Detroit appears to have a lovely and vibrant downtown area and a literal.plethora of tree lined suburbs - so not all bad, surely!😅
I born and raised here. Still live here 40 years old. Bro y'all gotta stop with the lies about the most dangerous city in the world lol. And furthermore more I do give you props for not just showing run down areas. You should've came to the west side. So many nice looking neighborhoods. Mansions and all. Good video though
The bus did not "blow a red light". Not sure where you're from, but you can turn right on a red after coming to a stop. ...and you completely missed pretty much all of downtown altogether.
With open borders all those old building will get full and many gangs will flourish with happiness, seen it in California. Then they jack-up the rent and chaos is back.
I love gentrification, but I wish it had not eluded Detroit for so many years!! Also, affordable housing is not the answer! Build it outside the outside city core!! Detroit needs more rich with people, and not less!!
I need to reconsidering about my new opportunity, because it is located at Romulus Detroit. My personal safety is the first priority. I don't know why so many Robotic company selected to base at Detroit? 😢
After dark you dont even get caught out there. It’s dangerous for real. Improved? Sure.. safe? Not a chance. Now the suburbs are better around the north side of detroit but heading SW its like a mix.
Romulus is a suburb. It’s where the airport is located. Don’t listen to this video. Do research on your own. Detroit and the metro areas are great. Ppl don’t bother you if you don’t bother them. Just like any major city you should be aware of ur surrounds but it isn’t more dangerous than Chicago , LA, New York or Miami.
As for the speed bumps - put one tire on the end by the curb and miss it completely with that side of your vehicle. You'll be able to traverse it at the speed limit with hardly any bump to it. Secrets of the city driver...
Detroit is amazing and rejuvenated. Less than a million people in Detroit not 5 million as you said. Are you talking about the whole Detroit metropolitan area which takes up 3 counties?
First of all I guessed that you would show the real streets of Detroit, and not once get out of the car. Detroit is a dangerous city. Has been from the start. Every city is dangerous, thats a city. Yet I could take you some where in Michigan just a short car ride and show you a town that is as dangerous as anything in Detroit. As for Detroit, its a serious city. Its slugging rats and clawing its way back. It will get there. Matter of fact, looking around at other major city, their all in decline. I think here in Detroit, we are ahead of the game.
This is how it was when I visited* My kids wanted to leave as soon as we got there because of the burnt homes and abandoned business* They're Minnesotans 😅 so you already know-
Eastern Market, Mexican town, Greek Town, and anywhere the sports arena's are, usually safe and fun, it's the outskirts of Detroit that's scary, don't stop at gas stations after dark! Be safe out there!
Warren MI and places like that suck. 8 mile is horrific still. From a driving standpoint a lot of the outer areas suck in Detroit that are like real close to it but not in it like. Oak Park. Warren, Troy, Sterling Heights, Clinton Twp. Wasn't a fan of the road construction at all on that side.
If you want to listen to a guy cough throughout his narrative, this is the video for you. There is a reason there are not many views. The guy knows not what he is talking about nor does he know where he is. Poorly done!
it seems that once an American city gets a bad reputation, its very difficult to shake off. that reputation. In my opinion, nothing major is going to change in Detroit, until its reputation starts to change.
Just what you read and see on video's, only opinion that matters is yours when you see it yourself, looks well taken care of to me , better then cal, new york, Chicago, Oregon, Vegas, see no junkies or homeless cities!

Detroit is the most dangerous city in usa year after year.. dont come out here acting like thats normal 😐
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS I think we know The D better than you ya interloper. 😆😂🤣
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS stop trying to make Detroit dangerous, LoL.
I just saw you passing merriman road and beech Daly you are not in Detroit bro😂😂😂😂
19:35 yep that’s Corktown. Neighborhood is gentrifying fast but it still has a long way to go…many such cases in the city
*Cracktown
Yay u made it to Detroit when u gonna go to Canada tho?
Nice camera!
I followed you on Google Maps, very interesting ....
Ive been through deroit a few times during truck driving
Thats cool. I love trucks. Seen a brand new one today wow
I rode my 10-speed to most places. I lived by Telegraph Rd and W. Chicago! in the 60s and 70s.
Detroit is beautiful! Australian here
Detroit is deadly, go live there and find out
I born and raised here. Still live here 40 years old. Bro y'all gotta stop with the lies about the most dangerous city in the world lol. And furthermore more I do give you props for not just showing run down areas. You should've came to the west side. So many nice looking neighborhoods. Mansions and all. Good video though
Can you not cough when doing the videos please man.
Saying on the street: "You never go hungry in Detroit" many many Godly people who pray for Detroit- Pastor Vogel especially.
I haven't been to Detroit since I was 4or 5 years old almost 50 years ago.
The bus did not "blow a red light". Not sure where you're from, but you can turn right on a red after coming to a stop.
...and you completely missed pretty much all of downtown altogether.
Detroit is now making good choices with their urban planning and they maintain those older buildings well
With open borders all those old building will get full and many gangs will flourish with happiness, seen it in California. Then they jack-up the rent and chaos is back.
I love gentrification, but I wish it had not eluded Detroit for so many years!! Also, affordable housing is not the answer! Build it outside the outside city core!! Detroit needs more rich with people, and not less!!
In the 70s, Detroit had the highest per capita income. There was money there, back in the day.
We know, katies from from there
I need to reconsidering about my new opportunity, because it is located at Romulus Detroit.
I love how he says the speed bumps were put in to slow down the people who are scared from driving too fast to get out.
As for the speed bumps - put one tire on the end by the curb and miss it completely with that side of your vehicle.
You'll be able to traverse it at the speed limit with hardly any bump to it.
Secrets of the city driver...
You should drive through southwest Detroit next time, and see our latino community, and experience thee authentic cuisine
we did a video in mexicantown. it was pretty cool
Detroit is amazing and rejuvenated. Less than a million people in Detroit not 5 million as you said. Are you talking about the whole Detroit metropolitan area which takes up 3 counties?
Yes, when he said 5 million he was referring to metro Detroit region.
@@dcookouit's just as big a metro as Los Angeles I kid you not. Its real close in size.
Where are y’all from?
First of all I guessed that you would show the real streets of Detroit, and not once get out of the car. Detroit is a dangerous city. Has been from the start. Every city is dangerous, thats a city. Yet I could take you some where in Michigan just a short car ride and show you a town that is as dangerous as anything in Detroit. As for Detroit, its a serious city. Its slugging rats and clawing its way back. It will get there. Matter of fact, looking around at other major city, their all in decline. I think here in Detroit, we are ahead of the game.
You really need to stop by the Landing Strip by the airport. Great Stuff! 😂
Detroit is one of the prettiest cities i have seen yall vlog, i really liked the view
I nearly died on a early work morning in 2005 when someone broke into my house on Havana and Bauman in Chaldeantown.
Sister Sister Lives In Detroit. Tia & Tamera.
This is how it was when I visited* My kids wanted to leave as soon as we got there because of the burnt homes and abandoned business* They're Minnesotans 😅 so you already know-
Like Minnesota doesn’t have hoods
If you want to go to the most dangerous city in America, you need to go to Gary, Indiania.
Gary is just vacant detroit is dangerous
@SOUTHERN LIFE Gary's murder rate averages around 65 per 100k which is around 50 murders with a population of 75k and dropping
NO GARY! DETROIT! LMAO 😂😂😂
I love my city
It looks easier to drive than metro Miami.
@@subhumanmanlet1 for sure!
I like how they finely replaced the potholes with speed bumps.
What camera are you using? Go pro?
Go tigers
Looks like a bigger version of Newark
If you want to listen to a guy cough throughout his narrative, this is the video for you. There is a reason there are not many views. The guy knows not what he is talking about nor does he know where he is. Poorly done!
it seems that once an American city gets a bad reputation, its very difficult to shake off. that reputation. In my opinion, nothing major is going to change in Detroit, until its reputation starts to change.
Crime itself has to stop.. and it wont
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS as long as theres a high density of gorillas theres no chance of the crime rate lowering
Just what you read and see on video's, only opinion that matters is yours when you see it yourself, looks well taken care of to me , better then cal, new york, Chicago, Oregon, Vegas, see no junkies or homeless cities!
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS crime has been going down in Detroit every year. I looked through these comments and it's weird how you are trying to make Detroit something that it isn't. I've lived around here all my life and its experiencing a rebirth that started all the way back in 2016. Still a long way to go but the future is bright and majority of people around here feel the same way
Harbor house restaurant ⭐⭐⭐
jose or katie have you guys ever got pull over by the cops doing these road trips?
Yup. St Augustine hood videos
I lived in this town for 46 years. Finally got out. The Detroit Metropolitan area has a lot of things going for it, and I miss the grit of Detroit. Some people call it the Paris of the Midwest. But I don't really miss being there, tbh.
Paranoid. And dangerous areas are very easy to identify which makes is „safer“
They don’t know real detroit. 😂😂😂😂 I been here 37 years and never had encountered more problems. Than while traveling outside Michigan was horrible times. The downtown is boring to me
Your parents built this city on rocks 🪨🪨🪨🪨🪨 and roll! We don't own the shipping industry, America needs facts.🎲🎲!
Detroit got alot of Muslims ☪️ and Arabic people
well, you better not go to Dearborn or Hamtramck otherwise, you will be forcibly converted to a Muslim 😁😁
It's the largest population of Muslims in the Western Hemisphere
