i love that someone finally speaks out about cooldowns in deadlock, it's been such a issue for me where some really strong abilities either have very short cooldown to begin with or you just have to buy few items and you're good, like lash this patch his ULT can go down to around 60-70 seconds mark with superior CD and diviners kevlar, but then his grapple ability which is the core of his movement feels like it's recharging at a snails pace even with rapid recharge and cool down items.
Honestly my main complaint is those passive cooldown abilities like you said. I think you should be able to buy items like improved and superior cooldown because you're specifcially buying cooldown reduction with little extra added value. But getting items that are already strong and adding cooldown reduction on top of them is bad design from where i stand. I think you should be choosing between making an ability stronger or using it more often, getting both should not be a thing in my opinion
I'm completely fine with some ults being up every team fight, as long as they don't win you the fight by themselves. Fights are more interesting when ults don't "feel like ults". Yamato ult for example. It's not a win button. It's just part of her kit. It feels necessary to have any kill pressure, and thus to do anything at all in a team fight. I get the appeal of ults that "feel like ults", because it can give the losing team a time window where they can have map control, and thus can make plays and have agency. If you want to have a win button ult up every team fight, that should be at a significant detriment to your usefulness outside of it. If you're willing to invest in superior cooldown and refresher, then sure, you get to have it every fight. But that should be more about fantasy fulfillment, then a legit build.
I think that’s totally fair! I think Deadlock does a really good job of not making the abilities confusing and you’re rarely going to ”how tf did I just die” which is an issue with a lot of hero shooters. Thanks so much for the comment 😃
Very fair but I think that more applied in her prior form when the ult was all bullet damage, there isn’t really a cooldown reducer reducer to counter her current form lol

You should check out Deathy on UA-cam as well if you haven’t! He was a real lightning rod for this argument and makes tons of great content.

Completely agree! There might be space to do both but certainly not in the way it is now where you can get like 60% reduction.
Another banger as always
Thanks so much homie!!!

Love Haze
I would too IF THE GAME WOULD LET ME PICK HER😂😂
people be like "Haze is Broke" and never bother to buy Metal Skin or Knockdown. Many such case.

Metal skin blocks like 60% of her dmg now as she also deals magic dmg, knockdown doing shit when every haze rush Unstopable.
