    I got the solo version a month or so ago........and I love it! You beat me to the review. I woke up one morning with 2" of snow on it. Held it like a champ. I am concerned about the 1,200mm HH......I haven't had an issue with it yet...Solid review man. I Love this tent. No buyers remorse

    • @GearPriority
      @GearPriority  2 роки тому +1

      I've had this one in some big rain and a few other 1200-1500 tents and it's never been a problem. I can see low HH being an issue on tent like the S2S Telos with a super flat roof (it's 2500mm, so we'll see).

    • @ItsGoodintheWoods
      @ItsGoodintheWoods 2 роки тому

      @@GearPriority I have had mine in rain, not big rain though. I am glad to hear you have had good luck with yours.
      Honestly, I can't say I have ever had a problem with tents in that HH range as well. But for the price of the tent, I would like to see that rating up a bit more.....but that would mean more weight and or money.
      It does shed water like a champ. Perhaps they got it just right! I really like this tent.

    It’s good that the weight is finally close to the 2lb trekking pole tents out there. However this is more like a 1 1/2 person tent vs there claimed 2 person tent! The $400 price tag isn’t worth it..... I’ll stick with my $200 Six Moons Designs Lunar Solo! ✌🏻

    A year or two before COVID I picked up an MSR ground sheet for a Freelite 2 at an REI garage sale. Maybe this was before they went to universal sheets. Anyway it does have the grommet in the center and Fly mode is a possibility. A little awkward with the brow pole not attached to the the main pole, but i works.

    Lack of livability in MSR tents (not this one)???? Price and weight I agree, but internal space was always excellent on MSRs.

    • @GearPriority
      @GearPriority  2 роки тому

      The severely sloped ends on the old Freelite and old and new Hubba Hubba all make for pretty bad livability. On previous MSR tents, I'd often have mesh on my face if using a thick sleeping pad and a pillow.

    Does the door situation allowing g water in during a rain or if the door is wet a nothing issue. 400 dollars for a tent that dose t keep the rain out seems like a waste of money or am I missing something. Try to avoid being in the rain but so this may never occur but if it did. I'm trying to decide if I should return it or not

      I can't handle the low walls on the head and foot end of the hubba hubba. If I have a thicker sleeping pad and pillow, the ceiling is in my face. It was a great tent and design 5-10 years ago, but a lot of other tents are better these days.
