Very interesting video! You don't get flustered like I do 😅 The flower and Santorini one came out so nice. Would it be possible to leave the stencil on and do it with black vinyl and paint the spaces? Just a thought. The beauty of painting is the ability of painting over mistakes! Love your nails as usual ❤
Well I went into it knowing it may not work! lol When they first came off the Cricut I was like oh these lines are so thin, I dunno...The vinyl is super shiny, so I'm not sure how easily paint would adhere to them, but that's a good thought. I think if anything, I will use this for the santorinis, because that was a super satisfying and relazing process!
Thank you for showing the Cricut machine, I am not sure if I will get one. I appreciate you letting us know what works and what doesn't work. The Santorini stone looked beautiful!
It was a Christmas gift, and not necessarily intended for rock stuff, but my brain just automatically short circuits there! lol I did use it to make some labels for food seasoning bottles that worked really great!
That would definitely make it peel off easier...but then the watercolors wouldn't adhere! lol That would work if you did matte craft paints I'm thinking though! Good idea! I was just so hell bent on using the watercolors!
Well, that solves that! Lol I haven't tried making any cards yet (which I'm kinda excited to try! Lol). I did make some labels for some dry spice containers successfully!
That absolutely could be an option. I'm just true to the local rock painting group I was "raised in" and we don't allow any stickers, tattoos, glue ons. Even under resin because we know not everyone has the ability to make sure it's 150% secure.
Take a break from the complex designs and create some super simple pocket hug rocks: ua-cam.com/video/TWCVmG0VLVE/v-deo.html
I do these all the time... Seal the base color with either a spray or resin!

That was a nice gift! I may try it sometime@@JessicaRocks
So firstly pinch the design on the rounded stones in the same spot to make them more uniform
Thank you!!
Just a thought...if you sprayed your black rocks with a sealer first do you think the vinyl would peel off better and not pull the paint?

I don't have a cricket and everyone I know complains about them lol.

Wonder if you could’ve just left the stencil on there as your outline and sealed it with resin? Still came out nice. 😊

@@JessicaRocks oh yeah! Gotcha! 😉
You can cut actual stencil designs with your Cricut and blank stencils.
Where do you get them paints on cards?
They are Iuile Watercolors. They have their own website and are also available on Etsy!
