If you go to the 3:30 mark in this video, I did a 30 day test between Art Resin and UV Resin: ua-cam.com/video/qciGIT_KE4o/v-deo.html Also, I think direct sunlight is the biggest challenge if you plan to leave them in the garden. I don't think there's a sealer out there that can hold up to prolonged exposure. I have some on our family cemetery plot, and I've just resolved to update the paint and resin every couple of years. I just got a set of memorial rocks back that had been in direct sunlight all day plus sprinklers for about a year, and everything was peeling and cracking. I think if you can have them shaded by your garden plants and bring them inside during the non growing months, you might be just fine!

I would pick the Mexican Beach Pebbles. You can usually find them in store this time of year that way you can pick a bag with the most smooth ones. I think you would need to use a much smaller, thinner rock, because this would probably weigh down a branch too much! You could create the same design on those wooden paintable ornaments that you get in craft stores, or use a small rock and attach a hanger with heavey duty glue before sealing!
