For some reason this does not work for me. I follow the instructions exactly and try with booth the ID & CSS selector and neither work. When I go to preview, it does not see gtm.elementVisibility and does not populate data layer. I am trying to track the submission of mailchimp subscriber pop up on my website in google analytics & google ads. Any ideas????

I'm looking to track a newsletter sign up form within a modal and upon hitting 'subscribe' the user is directed to a preferences page. The same form is in the footer of the site, so I need to differentiate between the modal and the footer form. I'd love any insight!

What if I had 3 pop-ups which display different content, like so: class="popup" data-popup-id="popup1" class="popup" data-popup-id="popup2" class="popup" data-popup-id="popup3" The ".visible" class is added to each when opened. Can the data-popup-id be used so I can differentiate between the different pop-ups? I’d like for Tag Manager to tell me which is opened.

I am watching your GTM videos. 1) We need to link adwords and analytics accounts and turn on auto tagging if I am using GTM or I shouldn't link them together? 2) I forgot where I watched or read, that we may be counting twice the data, users or sessions etc. Can you talk about it and how to avoid double counting?

When I look at the Variables, my Click Text is undefined, Click Classes is just the " symbol and Click Element is [object HTMLInputElement]. The Variables for Form Text, Form Classes and Form Element are the same too. I'm not able to find any kind of usable Variable to assign for my trigger. Any thoughts?

depends on the interaction, but you'd do that with the normal Auto-Event Triggers in GTM

yes, you would need to write a variable to read the data attribute

you would need to use the gtm.element variable. Look up my video on the Matches CSS selector option
