I am so proud of you! Awesome way to go! Also, those will all be so much fun . Congrats on the new baby. So I have a 4 year old son with special needs, he can seriously read easy books independently, but still needs help pottying etc. That being said, we use toy as tools to help him reach goals, but also, most importantly have fun and be a kid! So my best bargain of the year follows: my parents wanted to get him the Paw Patrol super cruiser which is $68 at Walmart and gasp $80 at Target. I was able to use a 25% off one toy coupon at Target, Target had Paw Patrol toys 10% off about two weeks ago, I had a 10% off a purchase yearly coupon I get for being a red card member, and I happened to have a $20 Target e-gift card from some purchase we had made. Anyway, I know this deal does not work for everyone, but be creative and check out all your options. I was able to get the Paw Patrol Cruiser for $28.85 with tax and shipping included!!!! My parents paid me back, but I love saving them so much money especially since they live on limited income and are just plain stubborn once they decide that is what he is getting from them. Also, check Target everyday in November -- they have a great daily deal. For example, tomorrow is 50% off their wondershop Christmas trees. A few days ago, it was 30% off of Frozen toys which you could then pair with your 25% off one toy target deal etc. etc.

I'm not a mom but I've been looking for gifts for my younger sister that are under $20 each, her birthday is in december so I like getting her lots of gifts but can't spend too much.
I understand that many people can only afford a $20 or less gift and that’s one thing, but if you’re buying multiple cheap gifts what you end up with is multiple cheap items all over your house that your kids break or lose interest in after a week or two. I would rather get my kids one $100 item that they will get more use out of than 5 $20 items that they won’t care about after a week.
Well my kids don’t want or need anything that is $100 so this is just what works for us. We always purge toys right before Christmas as well before the new ones come into the mix. Assuming they won’t care after a week isn’t fair because not all kids are that way. If my kids broke, lost or easily lost interest I would definitely adjust how I shop ☺️

Candy, slime, bath bombs, fun small art supplies Another fun tradition we do is we buy my sisters kids Christmas eve jammies and she buys my kids Christmas Eve jammies! The kids get to Open the wrapped jammies on Christmas Eve. Watch a Christmas movie with popcorn, candy and hot Chocolate before bed

I really like how you do christmas. We usually do similar. Our budget last year was $150 per kid, this year it was $200 per kid but we stopped before we hit it because we do similar to you where most gifts were between $8-$15 one for my son was $30 and one for my daughter was $40 but otherwise they were less expensive toys, blind bags and other fun little things they love. They are getting all gifts they'll genuinely love and they have 14-16 gifts each which makes the tree look very full. I love how even though they have gifts from grandma and uncles when we add our gifts to the kids it'll still be magical. If we only did 2-3 big gifts i feel like it would be unnoticeable. They're 2 and 4 now so i know next year my son is gonna want video games and bigger ticket items but for now we're able to get cool stuff like bikes and trampolines on sale for him for less than $50 which makes the tree look full and blows his mind because he never expected to get those bigger items he really wanted.

👏👏👏 I tend to shop differently each year and go where the deals are for what the posses asked for lol. This years were dollar tree, amazon, and Walmart - and gotta love the shipped or store pickup options especially when kiddies are with you 24/7 😂

That’s great! I’ll definitely be getting more practical things from here on out now that they’re getting older - but still with some fun things mixed in. Usually I buy the fun things and then when family asks for ideas I say the more practical items.
You did amazing for $100 each, we do $200 each with stockings included and I thought we were soong good coming in under budget! Lol! True it's easier to find cool toys for great prices for younger kids..weve got an almost 11 year old and a just turned 3 year old both their bday are right before christmas too so we definitely stick to a budget!

I'm from Maryland and we have an Ollie's in my area too! It's really great to get stuff that's been either deleted out of stores or discontinued! I got a great Sofia the First blanket and pillowcase set and a handful of Elena of Avalor merch there (since that got cleared out of stores so quickly). Some for me, some some for my goddaughter (because I am a kid at heart.) I love Ollie's and I'll be checking back when I get paid to get my Goddaughter some gifts for this year.

Our budget last year was $150 per kid, this year it was $200 per kid but we stopped before we hit it because we do similar to you where most gifts were between $8-$15 one for my son was $30 and one for my daughter was $40 but otherwise they were less expensive toys, blind bags and other fun little things they love. They are getting all gifts they'll genuinely love and they have 14-16 gifts each which makes the tree look very full. I love how even though they have gifts from grandma and uncles when we add our gifts to the kids it'll still be magical. If we only did 2-3 big gifts i feel like it would be unnoticeable. They're 2 and 4 now so i know next year my son is gonna want video games and bigger ticket items but for now we're able to get cool stuff like bikes and trampolines on sale for him for less than $50 which makes the tree look full and blows his mind because he never expected to get those bigger items he really wanted.

I tend to shop differently each year and go where the deals are for what the posses asked for lol. This years were dollar tree, amazon, and Walmart - and gotta love the shipped or store pickup options especially when kiddies are with you 24/7 😂

I have three boys 11 13 and 16 they all like different things there all growing up so i.this year bought things that they all wanted and also.what they can use and need and there not expensive
That’s great! I’ll definitely be getting more practical things from here on out now that they’re getting older - but still with some fun things mixed in. Usually I buy the fun things and then when family asks for ideas I say the more practical items.

True it's easier to find cool toys for great prices for younger kids..weve got an almost 11 year old and a just turned 3 year old both their bday are right before christmas too so we definitely stick to a budget!

I'm from Maryland and we have an Ollie's in my area too! It's really great to get stuff that's been either deleted out of stores or discontinued! I got a great Sofia the First blanket and pillowcase set and a handful of Elena of Avalor merch there (since that got cleared out of stores so quickly). Some for me, some some for my goddaughter (because I am a kid at heart.) I love Ollie's and I'll be checking back when I get paid to get my Goddaughter some gifts for this year.
