The defensive potential of OKC is going to be insane. You could run Dort, Caruso, Wallace, Chet, and Hartenstein. And rest 2 of your top players, while still fielding 4 guys that can shoot 45% from three.

The whole notion of moving teams needs, but keeping their legacies needs to be abolished. What the hell does Rochester, New York or Cincinnati have to do with Sacramento? What the hell do the fans of the Kings care what happened in other cities? It's the same with the Lakers and Jazz. Change the team names to something appropriate and quit pretending like the fans of L.A. get to claim Minneapolis' fans memories as their own. It's pathetic.

@@jaceking5938 honestly it’s hard for me to disagree a total amount because of my team. I am from Oklahoma and we embraced the Thunder immediately and the whole state fell in love like I’ve never seen. The Thunder is the only pro team in Oklahoma, and the other biggest show in town is college football - which has a passionate rivalry and the state is pretty split on support. So when the Thunder got here and the whole state could pour its support behind one team, it was (pardon the pun) electric. I don’t feel like we “stole” the Sonics’ legacy. OKC has always been pretty open about not counting the Seattle ‘79 championship as our own. We hardly/if ever even go pack to Payton and Kemp when talking about franchise records or greats. Everything pretty much starts with our move to OKC. So the OP’s overall point is decent to me because I don’t want Seattle’s legacy, it’s not fair to them.

Wouldn't be surprised but the team has to have a 2023 Celtics run or those GSW/Heat regular season run.
To get 3 or 4 All Stars, your team has to be much better than everyone else. There are players who have better individual stats that get left off the All Star roster every year, but those who "replaced" them are usually on teams who are head and shoulders above other teams.

    • @Shortballa11

too many West all stars for all 3. They are going to have to make a decision on 2 of them. Locks - Luka, Shai, KD, Lebron, Jokic, Ant, Steph, Dbook. Dang near locks Wemby, AD, and Morant. That's 11 right there and even if a couple people get injured, you only have 1-3 spots for all these players: Zion, Sengun, Kyrie, Fox/Sabonis, Jamal Murray and any other improved players. I see only JDUb making it this year and Chet prob makes an all defensive team.

Windy's point on French players is true. But international players are making second round picks more valuable. The Knicks drafted the last player in the 2024 draft from Germany and NBL and he looks fundamentally sound. I wonder if there is at least one international player on every NBA team? I think NIL will keep players in school longer and they will be more NBA ready (and mature). The new CBA may be forecasting or will benefit from exceptional role players from overseas and 4-year college players paired with 1 or 2 All-Star players.

    • @Shortballa11

NIL money is great bt NBA money keeps going up so I see what you are saying bt i think the trend of players leaving college will still be dependent on when their stock is highest.
