Created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, we first met the band in 2001 with their single "Clint Eastwood" and later enjoyed the hit "Feel Good Inc.", and luckily, the Gorillaz are back for more. Murdoc, 2-D, Russel, and Noodle (for a time, Cyborg Noodle) - these band members won us over back then, and they are back again with a new album. Another interesting fact: cyborg noodle malfunctioned and freaked out trying to kill murdoc so he deactivated her. He tried to repair her but gave up as normal noodle was ok and in saturnz barz there is a bin bag with mechanical sounds at the start which we believe to be the remains of cybord noodle.
Double fun fact some how she was put back together and was cycling in France and then started a new band with a poster that could be seen at the demon days festival

But Murdoc acts like he abusively liked 2D. I dont have an opinion on that. Many people think it’s weird to ship them, others say it’s clear. There are many evidences why they could be or were gay with each other, they both often talked soft ,caring and maybe fanboying over the other, so yeah, evidences they are in love are ofc there. But you can also see these how you want lol? Murdoc is on a good way btw, he changes and grows and he isn’t that much abusive anymore and often apologizes , hugs 2D or makes him food or tea. Idk. The fact that Damon and Jamie gave each of the Gorillaz members names, backstories, and personalities, makes me love Gorillaz even more! It shows HUGE amounts of originality and keeps them fresh and awesome!

I don't think so for fact 52... 2D and Murdoc are anything but best friends. Murdoc is an abusive figure to 2D, and the only reason 2D joined was because he was forced to.
He joined bc Murdoc crashed his car into 2D's uncle's music shop (where 2D was working) and damaged his one eye. As punishment, Murdoc was court ordered to take care of 2D. Trying to impress a girl, Murdoc was doing car tricks and sent 2D flying out the windshield which damaged his other eye. After that, Murdoc said he saw a (I think this is how the quote goes...) "blue haired broken eyed god". Then Murdoc forced him to sing but 2D quit. He was forced to come back though and Murdoc pretty much imprisoned him on Plastic Beach. He tortured him and forced him to sing.
Does that sound like best friendship...?
(Also, his hair isn't "naturally blue", it was naturally black but it turned blue after he fell out of a tree as a preteen.)

I've been listening to Gorillaz for about a year by now. I first listened to them while I binge watched their music videos and fell in love. That same first day, I watched videos about all the lore- I've loved this band 100% since day one of finding them. Gorillaz has gotten me through weird times where I don't know myself, which I still go through all the time. Fact 108: there are storyboards for a music video to the plastic beach song "Rhinestone eyes". Which involved Plastic Beach being attacked and explaining the reason why the shadowy figure from Stylo and On Melancholy Hill is after Murdoc. And ends with Russell and the real Noodle arriving at the island.
Fact 109: in an interview, Murdoc stated that after the events of Rhinestone Eyes. Cyborg noodle malfunctioned and tried to kill Murdoc which ended with the real Noodle killing it.
Fact 110: during the "escape to plastic beach world tour". there would be videos of the band being locked in their hotel room, explaining why Damon Albarn is performing instead of the band.
Fact 111: 2-D has a fear of whales
Fact 112: 2-D is kept on plastic beach against his will, and to prevent escape, Murdoc somehow payed a whale to keep an eye on 2-D, much to his fear. Though in the Rhinestone eyes storyboards, Russell throws the whale out of water
