I highly recommend a twin air wash cover. I have one for every bike. This allows you to wash the air box with the seat and air filter fully removed worry free. I like to gently hand wash the seat upside down with a low pressure garden hose since it’s off the bike. Plus you’ll be able to inspect, wash or replace your air filter after every ride. Might seem like overkill, however after paying to have a cylinder redone, I think the piece of mind of knowing my airbox and air filter are clean every ride is worth having.

Take a better pro tip from me Ryan Reedy. To protect your plastics and exhaust use a bike stand and gently tilt your bike over to wher your handle bar is on top of the bike stand. This way will help protect from any scratched from the pavement etc. Yourwelcome

The downside is that you can’t spin the rear wheel that way.

Honda owners manual says not to use power washer. I hear what you’re saying, though. I agree in blocking air intake and exhaust. I think it’s great to stress the importance of not spraying the steering stem profusely

I recommend a hand held air blaster for drying cars like the metro vac blaster side kick. Similar velocity to air compressor but much more volume and you’re not running your compressor so much.

You never showed using the Scrubbing Bubbles that was on the workbench. I like how it works.
I use my gas powered Stihl leaf blower also to dry it as my air compressor is small in volume.

Shooting pivot points and bearings from a couple inches away with high pressure air is just pushing more moisture in to those parts. Stand back a bit if you are going to do that. A small leaf blower from several feet away is a better option for drying.

No drama with gas leaking out when laying it down? I have a KLX300R so I might be alright but I remember my kx125 back in the day would leak out if i did that.

I really don’t get your obsession with laying the bikes over. It looks lame and unprofessional. How about why you’re doing it, because of your washer tip right? A sells meteor blast quick connect pivoting brass coupler attachment. I like the 5 angle 120deg and 7 angle 270deg. Once you use these, you won’t be needing tip til the bike over in its side.
