One of the greatest things I've learned is that formal education will teach you how to make a living but self education will teach you how to make a fortune.
I never even touched University or College because I wanted to be a millionaire. Only makes sense that I looked for mentors outside of there to learn from because no post secondary professors are millionaires lol... Follow your heart and what excites you and then you shall find the way. :)

As a teacher I can confirm that there're many things that the educational system don't teach you. But a main cause of that is the number of students: not even the best teacher is able to attend 30 boys adequately at the same time. It's necessary to have less students per class, so the teacher can give a more personalizated instruction.

I used to teach years ago so I am in a position to make this comment: class size has nothing to do with which subjects get taught in schools. Alux is giving you subjects that are not taught in schools. Robert Kiyosaki, one of the most famous financial writers in the last 20 years, has been saying that schools do NOT provide financial education. That's one of the reasons the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. And to make matters worse, the college degree has lost its value over time, and no one except Alux - has been telling the truth - that a college education is no longer a way out of poverty like it once was.

Emergency medical treatment such as CPR or first aid. We are often faced with these emergencies but when it happens we freeze because we do not know what to do. Understanding these things might give younger people more confidence that they can handle problems in life.

What should be a required class subject before leaving High School or any College is "Basic Household Finance". Now this may seem a bit odd coming from a person who, has never created a family budget and never balanced their checking account. Yet, I have no student loans, no credit card debt, my automobile is fully paid for, my 4-bedroom single family home is fully paid for, and, I currently have a net worth of about $900,000 with $600,000 being in cash and stocks. Just simple topics like make sure you develop an emergency fund, start saving in the stock market for your retirement at an early age, the danger of credit card balances, the value of buying used cars (between 3 to 5 years old), keeping your housing/utilities/and transportation cost to no more than 50 percent of your take home pay, etc.

One more thing. Even if you want to take control, start your business or basically create your own path. The education system will always find it's way to interfere between you and your dreams. Because there's always homework, and exams that take away big chunk of your time and you can't just say no to them. Cos often than not, consequences of not doing well/failure in the education system can destroy the chances of you achieving your dreams in many different ways. Either your parents will take away your PC, so you can focus on your studies instead of your business. Or you didn't managed to graduate because you were focusing on your dreams too much instead of your studies and you get punished for it by needing pay 20k for private school (in Singapore, dk about other countries) that'll likely destroy your business budget if your business hasn't take off.

Wait isn't independent not allowed your suppose to copy what the leader says not ask or add better input. If boss wants you to do in a way that takes a few hours longer who are you to tell them or show a quicker more efficient way they want people to run back an forth not getting anything done to the wasting of time of moving and starting over on things not getting finish that is the way you must if that's what you get payed for questioning will get you in trouble just don't take serious and laugh inside when management is stress once payed do things your way in your own home and time keep the peace. Just put the sky is purple on the test if that's what the teacher says that is what you must to get the good grade.

It seems like a small thing but kids need to learn business etiquette including how to dress, speak, introduce themselves, participate in a meeting effectively, and how to network. I work with a lot of co-op students (interns) and too many come to work in weekend clothes, slouch down in their chairs so they are half under their desk and give clammy/weak handshakes.

Financial Literacy not Accounting something similar to Alux. Computer should be a compulsory subject (I touched a computer 🖥 for the first time in University when I was 20 & the opportunity was for 6 months). Mathematics should also be a prerequisite subject. I left high school without it and it had been a stumbling block 🚫 to my advancement. English should be taken as a first language- I don't see a point of mastering our venernacular as we do not use it outside our homes/villages and with further learning and training as well as in the workplace. Psychology should be taught from 1st grade - understanding topics such as, why and how human behave is significant as well as topics in cognition, mental health (I grew up with the knowledge that people with mental health problems/ psychological disorders are "crazy"). Importantly I would have appreciated if I was taught how the government system works - where government acquires financial resources to provide grants to the needy, free hospitals, how it remunerates government employees, why our our country is a developing one and how to move from that, why is rand poor to dollar. Why natural resources are processed outside our country. How tax works and Economics.

The key word here is "curriculum." I don't blame teachers either! But I used to teach and I can tell you that school administrators are to blame. In order for some of these subjects to be taught in schools, the administrators need to make changes to the curriculum and hire people who are able to teach those topics. People shouldn't have to go to college (or business schools) and major in Finance to learn about finance! You can find a way to teach children basic finance, basic business skills, basic negotiation skills.

Self discipline, control your thoughts, self awareness, etc. etc. etc? THAT'S THE PARENTS JOB, not the teacher. No wonder society is failing, they expect schools to raise kids.

The education system should allow for far more student creativity and far less on a certain set of subjects that are compulsory. The other thing is to literally outlaw within the confines of all education are the words fail and flunk. Words like that insult students without any just cause. It causes some students to drop out. No one wants to be insulted. Then governments are confused as to why there are so many drop outs. Above all else, the education system, as the way we know it today, here in North America follows the Prussian model which goes back to the 19th century which forces excess discipline and pure regimentation in learning. Student creativity is entirely forbidden. Over the first half of the 20th century, the education system in America was largely created by the Rockefeller and Carnegie families and their associates--in short education in their own image. Nothing of constructive value ever comes from robber baron families.

Trading bitcoin is like trading anything else on an exchange. You can trade dollars for euros through forex, and dollars for bitcoins on the exchanges. It's very similar, but it depends on the idea that it's traded on an actual currency,”
