I was born 48 & half years back when we stayed in E.A.T Street and then moved to Bull Temple Road, opposite Bugle Rock, No. 1, Lewis Villa and we enjoyed playing on these rocks everyday along with picking nerale hanu & making ball kai from the May Flower trees fruit.. the best days of my life from Cycling, bande jump, hockey, football, picking guppies & tadpoles from the tank and placing them in our home aquarium as well as taking our pets for a walk and bath in the same tank… and the BMS college couples used to cozy around these rocks 😃 many unforgettable memories with Bugle Rock ❤️ thank you for letting us know the little circles were used to light lamps.. we thought they were some kind of a plate to eat their food.
Our ancestors idea to illuminate the place is mind-blowing, rocks at the heart of the city being 3000 yrs old ..most of we bangaloreans really have no idea about this. Thanks to enhance our knowledge on this
I feel I am lucky to born in Basavanagudi... spent lot of time here in this park. in my college times this park ware my study place. and one of my favorite rock in the middle was my study table.
