"the narrative winner" is suuuuuuch a lazy take. Its narrative, and stats, and EVERYTHING else. Was last year and is rhis yearm These guys are GREAT but wow, put some more work in. Statistically the 2nd best passing year ever. Statistically the 7th best rushing year ever for a QB (5th if you remove his own rexords). Demolished the other guy head to head. Had an IMMENSELY more difficult schedule. A drastically better division. Contrary to cheap talking points, WAY better eye test results for anyone not needing glasses and actually watches. Yes better RB and TEs but worse OL, worse D and special teams. Even the notion of better receivers is goofy...both are mid-level, and Lamar's have a higher drop rate. A WAY better record against winning teams. And a million more detailed stats that make the answer clear but which anyone surely wouldnt care about if the rest of this wasnt already convincing enough anyhow. Literally the only argument against Lamar i can understand is voting for Saquon...because comparing QB and RB apples to apples is impossible, and he'd have beat the record with a better YPC jad he played this week ... but there's a WAY better argument for Josh Allen being 4th than 1st. His best argument for 1st is simply muddying the statistical waters by combining rush and pass stats rather than considering everything side by side, buying into all the narrative of how he's playing with high school jv squads, shout "2 seed better than 3 seed" until it sounds like it means something, and pay attention only to the "big games" which help his case and/or hurt Lamar's
Josh Allen will have played 2 less games if you count the sitting for 4th quarters and the last game which is crazy bc the got pegged by many to be the 3rd best team in the division. But he got his team in a position to rest. Allen has MVP moments plus beating the best teams in both conferences and Lamar has multiple TDs against a 2 win team.
So here's the funny thing.. I have been pointing out all week that Josh Allen's weapons have the same amount of pro bowl appearances as Lamar Jackson's weapons and bill's fans have been non-stop telling me that pro bowls don't matter.... And then all of the sudden today bills fans claim that pro bowls are the most important thing.
Stats? Allen obliterated the field last year. Led the league in yards and touchdowns. Allen had the lowest EPA lost to negative plays, nearly the same TWP % this year and last, ending the fake turnover narrative, best EPA late in games, highest EPA when drops are accounted for etc. Allen's stats didn't matter. Lamar won and he wasn't even a top 5 QB. CMC had a better case. Now that Lamar has stats, they matter? Moving the goal posts? Sam, you were called a racist for voting for Allen last year. You know what is happening here. Don't give into the struggle session
He had more interceptions than half of the QB class last year. Never forget reality. He was never mentioned as an MVP candidate before he magically got a solitary vote out of 50. Let's be real and not indulge in revisionist history to suit a bad narrative of Allen as MVP this year. If you want to give it to him, just rename it MVPity.
Josh turnovers is why he didnt win. Lamar not top 5? I mean depends on what you evaluate he was 4th in passer rating last year meanwhile Josh was like what? 15th/16th? Looks like he did a pretty job at the position to me. Not to mention again the strength of schedule.

Some analysts are putting Joe Burrow ahead of Jared Goff and Sam Darnold, Baker mayfield
The networks can hype others to generate buzz, but true football fans know the truth. Lamar Jackson isn’t just a top quarterback he’s the real MVP.
let’s be real everyone knows Lamar Jackson is the true MVP.
The NFL is a business, and TV networks collaborate to create narratives that sell their product and boost ratings. These rankings and debates are often driven by marketability rather than on-field performance. But when you look at the numbers and the impact, Lamar stands above the rest especially over Josh Allen and others.
The networks can hype others to generate buzz,
Lamar exited 5 games early because he was so dominant for 3+ quarters.
He's probably would be at 4,300 yards with about 45 TDs passing if he hadn't built such commanding leads in his
games.
Bills play in the worst division in football. They have 6 gimme wins a year. Ravens have to play the Steelers and Cincy, and the Browns have a solid defense. Allen is 3-3 against winning teams, 2-3 against playoff teams. Lamar is 7-3 against winning teams, and if the Bengals make the playoffs, he'll be 9-3 against playoff teams Media trashed these same Ravens receivers last season. Also, as much as folks love Derrick Henry the Ravens led the NFL in rushing last season with 300 more yards than the 2nd place team, they said Derrick Henry was over the hill. Now want to change the narrative.
Lamar and the ravens got to a
0-2 start turn that around to having a chance to win the division this Saturday at 4:30pm, played hardest schedule, not playing any preseason, having a terrible defense throughout most of the season, his kicker missing kicks and extra points, losing 3 offensive lineman, Mark Andrew taking most of season to get back right.
Last point yall bring up Allen beating KC but Lamar had this Dude put on the bench. Cause they was beating the breaks of the bill, if y'all wanna give so much credit to Derrick Henry make sure y'all bring up. Josh Allen was on pace to have his worst statistical season until they acquired Amari Cooper a number one wide receiver that turned the season around for the bills, for some reason y'all forget to mention that statement.
Lamar Jackson won an MVP with Hollywood Brown, Seth Roberts, Willie Snead and Miles Boykin at WR
Please stop with the narrative Allen has no weapons, Please stop yall bull stuff with that roster. That bill roster is definitely stacked, and well balanced.
Allen had 2 maybe 3 great games this year when really matter most,
One of them came with him at that, but of course let's look over that part, and also look over his worse lost that came at the hands of Lamar.
But yall bring up the lost Lamar had against Las Vegas in week two.
Not the Sunday night week 4 win were the golden boy was benched in the 3QT😂😂
Josh Allen weaker strength of schedule is 5-2 when he plays below his standard.
Lamar hardest sos in the conference is 0-5 when playing below an mvp standard according to the
EPA
Josh gets carried when he plays bad. Lamar doesn't get carried whenever he isn't perfect.
MV3
Ayo krillen with the goltee been hating on lamar since day 1
LOVE how these cats both love Lamar and present great analysis along with that love. LJ8 is balling what you call the phuck out! 💪🏿👿😂 Best football player ever known to mankind
What about strength of schedule? Josh Allen only played TWO teams above 500 Ravens EIGHT teams above 500. Really?! How is this close.
Please don’t mention Dak. He’s not an mvp caliber player and we all know that. Such a disingenuous point
Shouldn't need 5 TDs. Mostly just need the passer rating record. It won't convince everyonw, but it would get people talking.
Also relevant is that Allen could go out there and have a bad series or two and end things.
Baltimore’s changes in defense
Moved Kyle Hamilton from the box to FS
Move Stevens from CB2 to CB4/5 and replaced him with Wiggins
Replaced Marcus Williams snaps with Ar'Darius Washington
Bought In Dean Pees to help coach rookie coordinator, Zack Orr
I've been saying that ALL year; everyone seems to think that Mike McDonald showed up and the Ravens' defense was amazing, but they started out really rough his first year.
Though, to be fair, I also though the Ravens' O-Line was going to be terrible this year, so WTF do I know?
Lamar MVP but Wilfred Brimley should get Coach recognition.
Lamar has started 14 drives inside the opponents 50. Allen has started 28 drives inside the opponents 50. If Lamar fails to put up a 102.0 RTG, he is 0-5. if Allen fails to put up a 102 RTG he is 4-2. Lamar is at historic level and will be in the running for best ever QB season. Allen is almost MVP level. Lamar NEEDS to be MVP level for his team to win. Allen does not, per the stats.
That’s what piss me off , Allen is having a good year LJ is having a transcendent year and they keep using all these metrics that they have never cared about to discredit it
2 losses has peoples heads in a tizzy about whose having the better season between Lamar and Josh lol
It's going to be bad weather in baltimore saturday
i like ya idea about kyle ham. but the dpoy should be marlo. look at his turn overs and timimg of them. he prob won 3 or 4 games fort us .
Josh Allen has the greatest or team of all time. Dude is paying for votes bruh. 😂
Lamar HAS 5;all pro teammates Allen 1:end of the MVP arguments Allen sitting because he can, Jackson has to play and will beat up on the browns , can't make this stuff up 😂😂
He beat Josh badly and beat 7 playoff teams and lost 3 times and Josh is 3-3 against playoff teams and he plays in a soft division
20 pts now
"the narrative winner" is suuuuuuch a lazy take.
Literally the only argument against Lamar i can understand is voting for Saquon...because comparing QB and RB apples to apples is impossible, and he'd have beat the record with a better YPC jad he played this week
... but there's a WAY better argument for Josh Allen being 4th than 1st.
Bro last year Josh Allen had like 18 picks wtf is dude talking about " last year lamar did the same" nooooooo noo nooo he didn't
Josh Allen is a white jameis Winston he trash comparing Josh to Lamar is blasphemy the media is disgusting
Lamar 9 pro bowl teammates, Josh Allen 1 … are real toss up….?😂
Yeah Lamar elevates his teammates
everybody says the pro bowl is a popularity contest and doesn’t matter, until the ravens have 9 and all of a sudden it matters
Okay, and Josh Allen plays in a division that is a combined 15-33 outside of the bills.
@@Mindag13Thats why Lamar’s offense averages 30 PPG and Allen’s offense 32 PPG? Allen does more with less.
Sam does not know ball
18 interceptions. Dak had the best stat case against Lamar in 2023, not Allen.
18 interception is bordering on disqualifying as an mvp candidate.
Josh turnovers is why he didnt win. Lamar not top 5? I mean depends on what you evaluate he was 4th in passer rating last year meanwhile Josh was like what? 15th/16th?
Looks like he did a pretty job at the position to me. Not to mention again the strength of schedule.
Last year Josh was modern day Brett Farve. Made plays for both his team and the opposition 🤣 Disqualified himself from any real MVP consideration
Josh beat Mahomes and only lost to Lamar, Stafford, and Stroud in a rebuild year with an injured and lower ranking defense and offense. Lamar beat Mayfield and Burrow (2x) but lost to Mahomes, Minshew, Jameis Winston/Deshaun Watson, and Russel(with no touchdowns that game) With Derrick Henry in the backfield. If Lamar beat Mahomes, he'd be a lot closer to Josh. But he didn't and hes out of chances to win a game that actually matters.
MVP= Josh. No favorites. Just common sense.
There's no common sense here. Beating KC made Josh closer to Lamar.
What?!? That’s some confused logic
