Jon doing his girl voice, Gex doing the voices for all the Mario characters, Gex losing his sanity and mind while Jon just chills. This was a really fun stream to watch. I didn’t get to see Mario 1 due to work but this was an awesome stream
Warping past the easy stages to the hard ones may have been a mistake. When you have limited continues, it's often best to use the early stages to build a stock of lives.
Mine M rated game story is going to sound like the boring answer: It was one of the Mortal Kombat games - it might have been the third one, I don't know it has been years - that my brother got when he played games on the consoles. In a way, this one is a mix between the two of us. Before anyone ask why our parents let my brother have the game? I think because they thought he would know how to turn on the censored mode on the game. Though if I have to say one that I HAVE bought for myself in a game that got the M rating for real, Persona 4 Golden back when it was still on the PS Vita and bought again for the Switch when it got ported. And another one to add with parents playing games bit: My mom used to play Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening with my brother when it was on the Gameboy, but that was the only one since... well, she got way too busy with work and all. That and the only games she plays these days are the phone games like Candy Crush and what not.
Since it came up. I'm thinking what was my first M rated game. I THINK, the first two twisted metals were T? But I know without question twisted metal black was M. So one of the twisted metals definitely. Musta been, around 10 to 12... ratings didn't matter to my parents. We mostly got consoles and games coz my father wanted them so i got them.
My first M rated game was Bayonetta 1 for the Xbox 360. It was because a friend of my brother’s brought it over and let my brother borrow it for a while. I ended up sneaking into his room to play it and even eventually beat it after dying so many times. Fun fact: because I was a dumb kid at the time, I always skipped cutscenes because I was not a fan of story. So ironically, I was never really subjected to what that game was known for until I got older
My first rated M game was Dragon Age Origins. My grandparents got me the game when I turned 18 along with a laptop. While I haven't beaten the game, I still enjoyed it but lost the game a couple years ago.

Gex getting the superstar and dying after was fucking great

Also if it's the first time in the game it's likely to be really confusing if you're not aware of certain mechanics.
Was this the second time Jon broke Stephen plays stuff ( the first time leading to the Disc Only Podcast RIP)?
Given how Super Mario 2 ends you could say that it was dreamseption
