Excellent advice! I have a curry leaf plant and during winter it looks so miserable indoors but still survives. I am in Tennessee. I have three fish tanks so when I change the water I pour the dirty water into my plants and they really love it. Also I have Seaweed fertilizer and that makes the Curry leaves smell even more potent.
Wonderful advice and tips. I recently acquired a curry plant that is about 7 to 8 inches tall. I have wondered when to feed and what to feed. My plant is on a south facing window sill and get the sun whenever it is shining. I live in South of England. I am careful about watering but your tips will help.
That was a wonderful lesson you have given, Ma'am, to learners like me. Curry Patta is not only an useful ingredient for cooking but its gracious leafage gives an aesthetic feature to your house. Thanks and greetings from India.
Thank you for all good tips, I have watched lots of videos regarding curry plant but your one the best 💗 you have explained very well and shown to us your plant how they are growing thank you so much dear. I have two curry plants (from India) about four years ago, they are not grown much. About two months ago added vermi compost and have noticed some new leaves 🤞. Will follow your advice from spring season, thanks again. You got me as new a subscriber 😉
Found very useful. I need your guidance time to time. So please keep posted your videos. I am sure many needs your guidance too. Well and very simple explained. I am going to give try as you said for my curry plants. Let’s see. Thanks
Hi! North Island New Zealand here. I am growing my first curry plant, it's approximately 75cm tall, and is in a large pot. It is early spring here at the moment (October). The plant has been indoors since I bought it and is kept in a Conservatory, so it gets plenty of sun and warmth. It has grown about 30cm but as yet is not "bushing" out. I have noticed one small branch just developing about25cm above the dirt level. Am I being impatient in wanting it to bush out? By the way, this is by far and away the most useful video I have seen on caring for a Curry Plant. Thank you so much.
Very well explained in your above video. Just a question...mycurry plant is 6years old and is not growing very well. I can't see any shoots coming out eighter.I use epsom salt and sometimes rice water as well. How can I encourage small shoots. Please advice 😢thank you.
Thank you so much am in the process of planting a curry leaf plant in london and am wondering how to care for it... your video is helpful but any special tips for my climate? Thanks 🙏
@@myhomemyspacen1547 Thank you so much for the good tips! I am in Bay Area, San Francisco. I have one plant from seed, and grew 1 feet, not healthy. After I listened to your video, I got the tips, again thank you!
Please use diluted dish soap and vinegar to Dab it clean the plant with larva . Need oil spray is always best if u can. use small mosquito sticky pads to remove other flies
Best is to get neem oil, dilute it with water N some soap liquid and spray it on the plant and leaves ... pls do not spray it while it's pretty sunny as it kills the leaves. Do it early in the morning...
Thank you for this very useful video. I have never fertilized my curry leaf plant here in Calgary, is it safe for me to do so now since the temperature is low but the plant gets a lot of sunlight everyday. Also I notice my plant is getting little less green color in new shoots ,like lime color instead of rich green color. Any advise please ??
New shoots always have less green color. So no need to worry. In winters or low temps try to use fresh compost soil in ur pots. Other fertilizers need lot of water and as said we need to be cautious of water input to plants during low temps
Hi I just saw your video and have liked & subscribed to your channel. It's a very informative and detailed video. I live in Canada and during winter there's hardly any sunlight. I have a couple of questions. I keep my 3 curry plant pots indoors so if I use fish fertilizer will it smell? Secondly, do I have to use fish fertilizer during winters? Also is it possible for you to share a pruning video of the curry plant? How can we make the plant bushier? I had seen in one of the videos that to make it bushier we should cut the stem from the top and not to pull out just the branches from the sides. Please advise, thank you.
If u dilute fish fertilizer in 1:10 ratio it won’t smell. Winters it’s best not to fertilize. Sure I will make a video on pruning. U r right plucking tops will make it bushier
I use rice washed water everyday or alternate days…..rice washed water is the best for curry leaf plant… my plant is so bushy now and lot of leaves. Once a while little dry cow dung….recently it even started flowering…
Hello Deepika, I like your video and it is very helpful. I did not under stand when to prune. The video said when it has 4 branches cut at least 2, this part I did not understand. Could you explain or show how to do. Thank you in advance
I have oregano in the same pot as the curry plant. Oregano is thriving. curry plant is doing ok but not many leaves this year. Can I grow any other plant in the same pot?
I am not sure about that combination of plants but there are few plants which rip nutrients of soil . So check what are oreganas requirements. Try to give banana peel water
Hello Thank you for your tips of growing healthy curry plant. Do you fertilizer curry plant in winter? If so what kind of it and the frequency? A line in reply would be highly appreciated.
Thank you. If u are living in very cold countries or zones where it is getting to zero or lower temps I would suggest use fresh compost on plants. Compost has good nutrients in dry format. That’s is the best bet. If ur are in warmer zones u can fertilize ur plant with epsom salt, fish or fruit fertilizer with a gap of 3 to 4 week in winters too. But overall metabolism of plant drops during winter so be cautious
Hi I have 10 tiny plants like urs, I live in the uk, I am worried my plants might die so I have them on a plant heater and grow light too, am I doing right? Plus can I put them in big pots and can I fertilise them?
I live in the UK, too. My curry leaf plants are flourishing with the pots on a heated plant mat. I also use grow lights and a heater to keep the air temperature centered on 24 degrees C in a growth tent. It is winter as I write but the plants must think it is summer, They are growing well, whereas when I had them at room temperature (around 20 degrees C), the development was much slower.
Very useful plant care information Deepika. Should epsom salt be given for 3 weeks everyday in summers or is it once in 3 weeks ? Same with fish fertilizer and buttermilk ?
Epsom salt application can be given with a gap of atleast 3 weeks. Not every day. Same with fish fertilizer reapplication gap should be atleast 3 weeks
Hello Deepika. Thanku for your advice. I have tried to get a plant on eBay from India but I think I have been scammed. I brought 1 from Polland but it died . Thus I am looking for a new plant. If anyone out there reads this and can help I will be interested. If you can send me one of your small baby pants it would be a wonderful. Thanku.
Hi, my curry plant has grown over the summer after I used the fish fertilizer and now roots are coming out of the bottom of the pot. Should I repot it now or wait until spring to repot?
Your new shoots have root connected to parent plant . So make sure u have good amount of root, especially tap root. Dug up good chunk of mud along root while repotting
Hello Mrs Farooqui . This quiet a common problem for curry leaf plant during cold weather. You can use neem oil spray which is effective. Also you can use a wet napkin and wipe then stems to remove infestation
Hi mam, I have jus got a baby curry plant today jus like u should lastly .. I am a beginner .. can u plz guide how to make it grow well in this spring and summer season step by step .. it's already in a small pot .. do I need to repot it again ?am in zone 6
Hi Devi, congrats 🎉 on having baby curry plant 😀. Just keep it inside till temps at night are above 60 degrees. Then give light compost. Don’t over water and keep soil lightly moist. Don’t fertilize or repot till mid summer. Just add some compost on existing pot. Good luck 👍
Am in zone 6 .. almost summer started .. but the baby plant I got from my friend a month back is getting spider mites .. can u plz tell how to get rid of those spider mites .. since it's a baby plant am afraid to use Neem oil on it

Hi, my curry plant has grown over the summer after I used the fish fertilizer and now roots are coming out of the bottom of the pot. Should I repot it now or wait until spring to repot?
Please wait till ur plant shoots are at least 7 inches or more. And spring n summers are best time to repot as plant goes through shock when repotting
How to dig up the off shoots from the roots to grow a new plant?
Your new shoots have root connected to parent plant . So make sure u have good amount of root, especially tap root. Dug up good chunk of mud along root while repotting

Can I use coffee grounds for curryplant?
Coffee grounds might be of great help. They contain zinc and copper which great for root development. But be cautious about quantity you are adding.
Could you clarify as to how to space the nutrients--can all be done the same time or should be one at a time ???? Which order---
Please rewatch the video, I told how to space nutrients in summer. It’s better to keep low during winters
