Great video. I have done this on top of a stock abutment as well.

Its actually easier with a stock abutment if you choose screw retained (manual position) in the database. This will also allow you to create your own emergence profile

@@adamrutherford7169 I'm quite new to this but the last few minutes of that video was great-- I knew how to create the cylindrical hole but the "crown bottom" was protected and wouldn't fully work... so perhaps that's why exiting and re-opening is important as I couldn't get it to work another way . Thanks !

@@GffHll I believe you have to have all the parts merged together before punch the hole and thats why it works. I'm not 100% sure though

I want to ask You question about ExoCad abutment design, if You can help me..
When I scan model, make scan body and design crown on abutment, is there any option I can select to disable hole on occlusal part of crown for screw? I need just to make abutment and crown without hole.
    Greetings 🙂

Yes, in the dental database choose custom abutment instead of screw retained

    Thanks for the video .
What is the difference between screw retained and Screwmentable ? I have designed a custom abutment then I need to design a Screw retained crown but no idea about the work flow , the closest I have got is what you have presented here but I don't know if I can send the work as screw retained since the hole is different , can you please tell if that is possible screw retained crown on custom abutment?

If you want to scan a custom abutment and then punch a hole through the crown, you willl need to choose Screw retained (manual position) in the database

@@ma3195gd it's easier creating an emergence profile the other way but that's about it
