I think Laura’s issue with chioma was that she introduced herself as chioma’s friend but chioma responded back and called her one of her longtime “Hair Extensions client”. Chioma basically did not claim her and rejected her.
Many people fail to differentiate friends from acquaintances. Many people think their business partners, customers, colleagues, classmates and neighbours are their friends but sometimes, these people are just acquaintances who just have a friendly disposition.

Aunty Fumz… I personallyyyyy was underwhelmed with the first episode. I found it slightly amateur in comparison to Young Famous and African. My fav so far is Chioma, she seems so classy and respectful… going to continue to watch and I hope the plot thickens!

I’m a little disappointed to the bleaching comments. I have noticed that when people see light skinned Nigerian women people start talking about bleaching. Most of those women are naturally light and not all are bleaching. Someone mentioned there’s so much bleaching over there in Nigeria as if they’ve met every Nigerian woman. What an ignorant comment. Finally some of you are projecting
My dear, you hit the nail - projection! I saw those comments too and I was embarrassed for them. The ladies even have their children on the show. Tiannah had a whole baby & Carolyna is mixed Lebanese. Are they bleaching their children too?! Like if you're not aware, don't be loud and wrong! Don't propagate your lack of intelligence. I was moreso embarrassed for them and their comments. It's giving jealousy and inferiority complex.
Unfortunately bleaching is widespread in Africa and Asia due to colonization and the white supremacy mindset. Are some these women bleaching? Some most definitely. But celebrities bleach in the US as well. It would be nice to see some beautifully dark melanated skin showcased. Let's just concentrate on the content of of the show.
@@cyndi29710 100%. We know this! White supremacy and colonialism touched us all and affected global perceptions of beauty. That's not in contention. The comments however were not meant as chastisement or encouragement to appreciate natural beauty but as disparaging and degrading remarks about Nigerian women in particular and in this case were largely unfounded. Dah one, I no go gree!
My mother is Yoruba and very light with hazel eyes. All her life people have assumed that she bleaches just because she’s Nigerian. Its really sad.

The mixed one also bleaches. She used to be a an actress and while she had lighter skin, she was never pale/ghostly white.
It seems like only Chioma and the lady married to the wire man have their natural skin tone.
Hallelujah! Someone addressed the elephant in the room!👏🏿 If only they knew how dull, flat, lifeless and to be brutally honest "bizzare" the skin appears when ALL the natural pigment is removed! TRULY beautiful skin has highlights/lowlights and all manner of lights in-between. IDK why some women still believe they can only be beautiful if they have a big butt, light skin, and straight long hair😞 Perhaps this is something Fumi might consider discussing on a SISTER TO SISTER episode.👍🏿👍🏿

Great commentary Sis! You missed something....Chioma did Laura dirt....Laura there claiming her as friend and Chioma talking about her being a client abi customer. That rubbed Laura the wrong way....can't say I blame her for being a bit off at the party after that happened. #teamlaura
Yes, but Laura should learn not to downgrade herself in future just because she wanted to mingle with a rich girl. Just because she is a client to chioma doesn't make her a friend. They have never go out together or do things together like normal friends. Moreover, Chioma doesn't attend to her hair clients because she has staffs working for her. This is not the first time chioma would ignore her. She did ignore her few years ago on IG and I was thinking that this Laura wants to be friend to chioma so bad and chioma doesn't want her. What happened on the show just confirmed my thoughts.
