- Filmed in 1998, here Michael Junior sings Stille Nacht and then, with his mentor, Helmut Lotti, Panis Angelicus. He receives a very warm standing ovation.
Broadcast on German TV in 2001.
Beautiful voice Michael J and so sweet young boy!
Thank you for this taste of heaven!
the best recording of panis angelicus ever made.
Fantastic sweet little Singer, keep on the good work 🤗🤗💖💖💖💖💗💗👏👏👏👏
So Beautiful
He was my favorite boy singer during that time. Watching this video makes me wish he did a Christmas album.
He is so talented, he is different from other young singer, like Frascis Aglabtin and Jotta A. when they were still kids. Michael Junior has more mellow and melodious voice and he is glamorous and gentle young boy.
He was my favorite boy singer during that time.
I have his second CD, recorded when he was about 16 or 17. His voice has changed to a very lovely baritone and his singing is just as wonderful.
Best version of this classic sacred song. Countertenor Helmut Lotti and chorister Michael Junior bring a fresh perspective to a song by a native Belgian Cesar Franck.
I wish Michael sang this song in english like he did for the cd. He is still a gifted singer.
Het blijft zooooooooooooooooooo mooi en pakkend!!!
absolutley fantastic....................
Wunderschon
Danke schon! Michael Jr.
PIEKNA MUZYKA BRAWO 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💐💐👍👍
It's totally remind me of Heintje in the 70's with his golden voice.
He is talented for his age. I even hear vibratto in his voice. Very unusual for a child his age. If he still has this voice after his voice breaks, he'll definitely be a great singer.
Stille Nacht
I would love to see them in my church !
Fair enough!
What the others have pointed out is correct, he is famous all over the world. I think your comment (spiffyacey) comes from the fact the videos on youtube are downgraded to fit them on their website. You will find from the original cd's that for a young performer, he has a very powerful voice and can also sing in numerous languages. Singing in another language, also has different sounds and can sometimes make it very much different to when you here the same song, sung in English.
Michael Junior (Verschuere) was born on April 21, 1986 in Bruges St. Lucas, Belgium and grew up in Geidelberg straat. He made his singing debut in March of 1998 with Helmut Lotti at the Casino of Oostende in Belgium.
he stills sings in churches. brilliant talent 👍👍
the first song is called silent night in america
Like father like son
belissimo!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well sung, it also always sounds funny, when dutch or belgian boys sing in german, they got a cute accent :P
🎶🎵🎶🎵
2.
Stille Nacht! Heilige Nacht!
Hirten erst kundgemacht
Durch der Engel Alleluja,
Tönt es laut bei Ferne und Nah:
Jesus der Retter ist da!
Jesus der Retter ist da!
DANKA
Something of a mystery. There are various fan sites with links to his official websites. But his official websites have ... disappeared. According to an MJ Yahoogroup, he switched to a new management company, THEY took down his existing sites, and nothing has been heard or seen of him since. Very strange.
if i remember correctly he was about 10-11 years old there.
3.
Stille Nacht! Heilige Nacht!
Gottes Sohn! O wie lacht
Lieb´ aus deinem göttlichen Mund,
Da schlägt uns die rettende Stund´.
Jesus in deiner Geburt!
Jesus in deiner Geburt!
I don't know if you've watched the Ernest Lough documentary I posted, but he apparently used to say something along the lines of "boy trebles are destined to die young." However, it seems it's not his fans who desserted him, but that something went wrong with his management.
I think that happened quite some time ago!
i thought the accent was cute. I think his French is gorgeous and his English is almost flawless.
He sang also in french? Whao.
@@evelynesouchar5549 yes I had the album
Belgium.
no shit. it's called silent night everywhere english is spoken. That's what it is in German, too. What do you think Stille Nacht means? silent day?
That it is. Here are the German lyrics:
1.
Stille Nacht! Heilige Nacht!
Alles schläft; einsam wacht
Nur das traute heilige Paar.
Holder Knab im lockigten Haar,
Schlafe in himmlischer Ruh!
Schlafe in himmlischer Ruh!
It looks as if he tried to carry on after his voice broke, and released a CD or 2, but disappeared when he changed management companies.
he's still singing in churches. you can't blame him for quitting . still singing and speaking in tongues. the holy spirit. helmut lotigiers still knocking them at dead at 50.
Impressive. How old was he?
21
How old is he now?
thats just silent night in a diffrent laubgudge
He is 37 years old, married and has 2 daughters. He lives near Bruges, Belgium. He no longer sings professionally, he has a regular job as a technician, in a local company. He lost his enthusiasm for showbusiness and for performing in public many years ago. He became a devout member of a Pentecostal Christian church and only sings in that context.
quand l'élève dépasse le maitre!!!
He has amazing natural control/legato, support and expressivity, particularly for someone so young. He is really amazing in pop-like pieces, he is absolutely great here too, but he would be so many times even better if he went with classical training/production for these songs. He already has great support(more natural/physical strength than technical), using classical production he would cause heart attacks and heart breaks with his singing.
LOL he's so austrian: says "eynsam" not "aynsam"
It's just an opinion. No need to get het up!
Heh, maybe you weren't. But seriously, my opinion.
Lotti is not very good, in my opinion...he is average...but Michael is very impressive.
Nicely in tune but a very strained tone to his voice. Needs to sing from his diaphragm.
