Hideaki!👌
@@hideakiyamamoto8272 🙌
Similarly in English it can also be said that someone is 'seeing' a colleague meaning dating.
What I'm wondering now is why its called a 'honeymoon'. Google time..🤭
The word "honeymoon" is thought to have originated in medieval times. At that time, it was common for newlywed couples to drink mead (a fermented beverage made from honey) for a moon cycle (30 days) after their wedding. This tradition was believed to bring good luck and fertility to the couple.
you are so cool!!!

вылетело из головы: in English you can say "it (completely) slipped my mind".
свадебное путешествие: honeymoon! .😁
@R.a.p.h.a.e.l.a😂

Honeymoon seems to be a pan- European idea.
We have "mis mèl" in Welsh, literally a month of honey. Mead was a very popular drink for hundreds of years. I have beekeeping friends who make mead - it does tend to be quite sweet even after fermentation. Also, it takes about 6 pounds/3 kilos of honey to make 1 gallon! 🍯🍯🍯The best I've tasted is raspberry mead!
Speaking of beverage making, I'm experimenting with a recipe for lilac syrup today!
@sashaluna805 Супер! 🤗
@@Russianlanguage My great-aunt Hilda (born in 1904) used to make many wines, jams and syrups - and this one is under Floral or Rose Syrup in my mother's recipe notebook.
Flower Syrup. (Rose, Elderflower, or Lilac)
200g sugar 8oz
200ml water 1/2pint
and about 5- 6 clusters of lilac flowers. (or of elderflowers; or 3 large, scented pink/red roses)
Shake dust and insects from flowers and pick off just the flowers (no green stem - bitter!).
Put into a pan and bring to a simmer for 30 -40 minutes, stirring to dissolve sugar.
Don't boil!
Of course, strain through clean muslin cloth/ fine sieve and pour into sterilized bottles and keep in the fridge, preferably.
It's not very thick though- I'm going to try more sugar/less water for a thicker syrup! Maybe a longer simmer, too.
My amazing daughter in law suggested adding a few crushed blueberries to the pan - a very few- just to tint it lilac - genius!
I like it with ice and water, but it's also good with ice cream or yoghurt. Or gin, apparently!
Bon appetit! 🌹
😋🍨🍸🌹 Sasha, I am going to try this recipe! It's Autumn, but some varieties of roses are still flowering in my garden. Lovely weather here. ☀
I like the idea of adding a few blueberries to tint the mix lilac! 💡🫐
Rick loves mead, it's a favourite. We haven't tried raspberry mead! Thanks for the idea! 🥃
We have Lilly Pilly trees in our garden. There's a big one right outside my window. These are native Australian trees with lovely white flowers in summer and masses of pink/red berries.
The "cherry-pink" berries can be added to jams, wines, cakes or just eaten straight from the trees.
I like to make a syrup from them and create "Pink Lilly Pilly Lemonade" with the berry syrup, sugar and lemon.
The syrup is a rich dark pink 💗 and it creates a nice beverage!
You've given me an idea to add a little bit of 🫐 and create a "Lilac Lilly Pilly Lemonade" version! 💟
I haven't seen anyone create a lilac drink yet 🤔
Thanks Sasha! 💜
@@sashaluna805 Your baby sheep pics are sooooo cute! 🥰😍🐏🐑🐑
@@lilyrose4191 Wow! I love the sound of the Lilly pilly tree! I'll Google it tomorrow - I doubt any of my books contain such exotica!
Lovely to preserve those tastes from summer.
I read somewhere that you could freeze the syrup as ice cubes, and break them out for festive drinks! I haven't got the freezer space!!
Enjoy your autumnal colour! It never stays long enough, and turns to winter too soon.
I'll change my lamb pic!
Enjoy the good weather and the roses!
