A very good basics tutorial...Going a bit advance, how much you want to overlap also depends on how much 'thickness' you want the grip to hv, similar to stretching the grip during the wrap. In the end, any excess can always be snipped off with a pair of scissors.
Yes agree if you put them with more space than i so the grip will be more thin. In that case you can start the other way around because you will then have to cut it of at the ens anyway😉
@@prathikphegde4368 it's personal preference, I've seen people remove the original grip and apply overgrips directly to the wood (feels too hard to me) whilst others might use cushion wrap underneath the overgrip etc. It's pretty common to apply overgrip on top of the original grip - try it. The great thing about overgrip is that you can easily remove it if you change your mind as it only has adhesive on the last little bit at the end.
Overall good video, but for some balanced opinion, here’s a few things: 1) It matters not whether one uses the precut end as the bottom or top end - lots of people (like me) do it either way. I don’t even bother to make a diagonal cut at the top if the broad bit ends up at top. I’m gripping at the butt end anyway! I’m not troubled by the less aesthetic appearance and the grip is going to be changed after one to two weeks. 2) The amount of overlap and stretch can influence the overall diameter of the handle. Some players with smaller hands (eg: ladies, juniors) can be quite sensitive to grip diameter increase. Smaller grip diameter facilitates wrist action. Stretching tighter with less overlap means the overgrip adds less thickness, but expense of reduced mass of overgrip for sweat absorption. The amount of overlap you advocate with minimal stretch adds more thickness.
@@BadmintonFamly hey I'm planning to do this cushion wrap then Yonex premium grip comfort type and super grap soft this is how I do it cushion wrap with overlap half the first thing then premium grip with below half overlap and the super grap with no overlap is it ok?
They actually start in "reverse" Take the thick bottom part of it and have it be tightened in the bottom, by wrapping it around itself and then from there, they'll go up the grip until they reach the top. Stretching it and having more space between lines for a thinner grip, that reaches further. Opposite for a thicker, that reaches shorter. Since they start with the thich non-sticky end, now they have the sticky part in the top, that can finish up the grip by just removing the tape and showing the adhesive!
So, that’s the opposite of what yonex says on how to wrap on packaging. And if I have small hand and like ridged grip, standard ac102 will be too long so I would end up need to cut the last bit anyway
I have watched the clip. Understanding the correct grip. FC. from Thailand

These grips often get very dry and almost dusty when I use them even for 1 time
Wash your hands before using it man

nice tutorial
Thanks😎🤘🏻
Hi Sir
Thanks a lot for this basic but most important thing
Oh yes very important to have your gear in order👏🏻
It's not that you should not apply the narrow edge at the bottom, even I prefer it the same way, but it's a matter of preference.
The instructions on the box actually say to start with the narrow at the bottom, so to each their own
Yes but i think this is better and more easy to control👌🏻
@@BadmintonFamly Yes, I like the aesthetic of it.
Thanks Sir
thanks bruh
We should apply the thin part at bottom
That is also an option yes💪🏻
Nice work
Thanks👏🏻
Can we use the other side of the super grip after the use of one side
No better to change the grip to a new one 😎
Is this wet super grip suitable for sweaty palms?
I would go for the towel grip 💪🏻
@@BadmintonFamly i am using towel grip now but i am looking for alternatives, any suggestions would be appreciated 👍
I don't have any grips I can apply dubble tape please reply sir
seem like im doing all the 👎👎👎 way but it gets the job done anyway hahaha thanks

So fun all you guys are chasing the first view and like, I should do a competition about this someday😆
@@BadmintonFamly sure bro..it Will be fun
😂
Should I put it top on my grip or should I remove my grip then put it in
Depends on how thick you want it to be, but with the super grip i would say to put in on top of the basic grip😎
@@BadmintonFamly hey I'm planning to do this cushion wrap then Yonex premium grip comfort type and super grap soft this is how I do it cushion wrap with overlap half the first thing then premium grip with below half overlap and the super grap with no overlap is it ok?

What grip...?? Model ??
Super grip from yonex 👍🏻
Most world players don’t use that black brand sticker, then how do they stick their grip?
They actually start in "reverse"

Why do many people like yellow colored grips?
Don’t know but it’s a fresh color 🔥

Thanks for watching💯👏🏻🤘🏻
Normally you should start from the narrow edge, everyone in tennis do so
For the base grip that's correct, not for an overgrip.
@@barnabysalter3949 at least in tennis the overgrip goes the same way starting from narrow edge. There are many tutorials here on UA-cam.
First like
sh still can't do
You're doing it wrong, the narrow end is specifically included in order to apply it at the bottom of the handle.
Nope narrow edge is meant to go on bottom
Yes on the description but this is my favorite way of doing it 💪🏻
@@BadmintonFamly oh sure its just a grip you can do it however you feel like 👍
