I am starting my OB/Peds rotation this semester and I am so nervous. I actually never considered being an L&D nurse but after the first two classes I absolutely love it and I'm considering it!! Wishing you luck on your new semester and pray for me in my 3rd semester it is supposed to be the hardest of all my program!!
i went to nursing school a couple years ago but quit halfway through because being a nurse wasn’t for me, but the only place i could possibly see myself was OB. it was so amazing! we were only on that floor for a few days but i watched two c-sections and held a woman’s leg while she gave birth! i cried the whole way home

My wife had both of our babies at fairview. I gotta say, the labor and delivery nurses are absolute angels. They stay so close and take such good care of their patients, they really deserve the recognition.

Yay!!! Thank you for uploading. I graduated last Saturday as a Surgical Technologist. I have 6 weeks of clinical left ( I know it’s strange I graduated but still have my last clinical rotation left). I have seen c sections and a whole bunch of other stuff! I HATE waking up at 5am to be at the hospital and scrubbed in by 7am, as I am not a morning person. Congratz on making it closer to finishing your education. Not to much longer. You got this. As for me...Lord help me get through 6 weeks of clinical Monday-Friday AND working full time🙏🏽.

Hi Madison, when you are in class and the teacher is giving out lecture or writing on the board, do u write down everything and get home and then type and print out what u wrote in class and add to your binder?

What exactly are the ATI exit exams? I’m hoping to start nursing school this fall and I understand that you have to take ATI exit exams like you said. Do these impact your grade? What do they do exactly?

I am sure you have answered this question but what made you choose the ADN path and not going straight into your BSN? I have been trying to find the answer but am having no luck girly! I’m so happy you had a great last day in the OBGYN floor 💖
in my opinion, there is no good reason to go the BSN route. so much more money just to get the same RN position. ADN and BSN nurses both take the same NCLEX and are both RNs. the only difference between an ADN and BSN is pretty much leadership classes.
going to community college to get your ADN for way cheaper in 2 years and then getting your ADN-BSN your first year of nursing is the way to go, especially because some hospitals will even pay for you to get your BSN.

How do you study for you ATI exams?? Because I study for all of mine using the online custom quizzes and still don’t pass

They are just random ones my hospital provides! Sadly there isn’t a brand name on them!
