I showed my gf this video and she finally realized that the one time she shot a .44 desert eagle before, that my .22 is normal.
There's always the Elisjsha Dicken's drill. 10 shots 40 yards on a man sized target with 80% hit. In Western washington in rifle restricted areas the 44 magnum revolvers and desert eagle are wonderful hunting guns for bear, deer. And elk. You have to use a .40cal or larger. I've seen the DE 44 mag sell used for $1200

I wasn't going to buy a Desert Eagle until the L5 came out. I prefer the 44 over the 50 because the 50 isn't practical nor dependable in self-defense situations. The only problem is I wear I lot of sweatpants so I need to find a belly holster to conceal this. When my gun is in my holster I always leave the safety off anyways.

My favorite Firearm ever. Good demonstration of it's effectiveness. Honestly entertained the idea of EDCing a .44 Desert Eagle. I'm a tall guy. And have seen footage multiple times of people shrugging off 5 to 10 rounds of point plank 9mm. Not that it's an ineffective round, i have a 9mm duty gun. But i want something with more knockdown power. My buddies laughed at the idea not knowing that the L5 models even exist. But how impractical would it be really? 9 rounds of .44 Is serious stopping power. And the aftermarket for .44 loads is pretty vast. Some loads matching the foot pounds and velocity of some loads of .50AE.
the best thing about the Desert Eagle is you can shoot couple different calibers from the same gun I believe just change the slide

Radian do-it-yourself ear plugs are worth it and they don't cost much. Also only way to shoot 44 magnum is reloading and especially casting your own bullets from scrap. Shooting that much at the range takes a small mortgage lol
The concussion that comes off of it is enough to make us not want to shoot it that much 😂 not a ton of recoil but the blast was absolutely nuts

I think it’s still too small of a gun imo, DE is like a micro compact, the MP7 is more of a challenge, being a full size carry gun that it is
I'd argue the Desert Eagle makes the least sense in .357 Magnum. Way too much gun for 10 mm power. Also, it's probably the least reliable. I your gonna get such a big heavy handgun it might as well be the .50 AE. Plus that cartridge was designed for the gun too.

Well, considering a Deagle carries .50, .44, and .357 I’d say just 8 rounds or so is suitable compared to a six shot revolver. I mean, what other pistol that’s legal in Dumbfuckistan (California) is that big, semi automatic, and magazine fed?

1. That's a small deagle (the 5 in L5 is for the lack of 6", and the L for L5 is for being lightweight)
2. You're not using a BGs AIWB. Shame on you.
3. It's not a real deagle because it's not in .50AE.
4. It's not significantly difficult to conceal for everyone. A 5'6" dude with a full sized normie pistol will have just as much difficulty concealing it as a 6'7" lanky dude like me with a deagle, L5 or mark XIX.
5. You should put on some Hogue g10 Piranha grips on that thing. It slims down the grip a lot and it feels significantly smaller overall.
I've bought eight mark XIXs in the past year or so, and one L5. All in .50AE, of course, because America. I was very significantly considering carrying a mark XIX as my winter carry, just for the hilarity and awesomeness and ridiculousness and Americaness, but then my gun store convinced me to buy an L5 by saying, "hey, check this L5 out". I now have no reason to not carry this L5 for winter, and it's so light and "normal" sized that I'm now considering being that douche bag who carries a .50AE desert eagle. Out of my sample size of nine, I only fire factory xtp, and I haven't had any malfunctions since learning that I needed to absorb a little more recoil after the first mag I'd ever fired. With this reliability experience so contrary to internet peoples, it's hard to not consider actually being that .50AE douche bag. It's America!
