- Hey beauties!! I'm back with another Wash & Go combo! What do you guys think? Wash & GO or Wash & NO?! Also, I apologize - I messed up! 😩 I said that I'm not a fan of leave-ins in the video, when I really meant to say that I'm not usually a huge fan of SPRAY leave-ins.. I love leave-ins, so obviously that was just a mistake - I'm sorry!

It's alway best to take the Gel and condition and mix a little together and if becomes white looking or cream that means they don't mix well together, just a little pointer for the future.
if it becomes white or cream looking that means its going to leave the white flakes all over the hair.

I do know about this little hack, but unfortunately for me, I tried using this method before starting and kept getting the same results - It's as if the Eco Styler wasn't mixing well with any of my leave-ins, so I just opted for the Aussie so that I didn't end up wasting the good shtuff lol 😜

do you have tips for if the leave in is already white ? like will it automatically not mix well together ?
I totally just realized that I said that I typically don't like leave-ins, but I definitely meant to say that I don't typically like SPRAY leave-ins 🙊 My bad!
But yeah, this ACV leave-in is da' bomb! Have you tried any of the dpHUE products or the Olive Oil Eco styler? If so, how'd they work out for you!?
Kenzey Cooper it probably was the mixture. I personally don't like the Olive Oil one, but my experience with two different Ecostyler gels helped me find out that Ecostyler in general does not mix with Aussie Moist. Also, if you have not, try the Argan Oil Ecostyler gel, I love it. but do not use it with Aussie Moist!
Kenzey Cooper I used the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black castor oil leave in or a homemade shea butter mix and oil. when I used these my hair did not flake. I did notice olive oil eco styler gel doesn't work on my hair but their Argan oil one worked wonders. I didn't have a reaction with my deep conditioner and the argan oil eco styler gel but I did with the olive oil one. I rinse it all out first but still I get reactions with some gels. I love the argan oil one. it does flake a little bit but only when I don't break the gel cast as soon as it dries and I let my hair air dry. I also have to do it in layers. my hair comes out better if I put leave in first let it sit and then put the gel. i get super defined result on almost damp hair. that worked for me. I got those white balls the first few times. I also get better results when I spoon it out first to avoid the gel mixing with a bunch of my products. I haven't gotten flakes since I did this.
Eco styled gel doesn’t typically leave flakes. I think it’s just the products you mixed it with.

I'm in love with the eco styler gel and I've learned that certain leave ins do not mix well with it. Some good leave ins that I've used have been the shea moisture smoothie, a garnier leave in (in the green bottle), and even the Trader Joe's nourish conditioner. Hopefully you can try the eco styler gel again and get some better luck!

Does the Garnier green bottle leave in go well with the eco style olive oil gel? Cause i have both products but so scared of getting white flakes or casting

try the Eco Black castor oil and flaxseed gel with shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie and ogx argan conditioner or aussie together. it works perfectly.
I used to use those Eco products as well, but then I saw this on the Today show and i don;t think the Eco ingredients are correct, it is damaging my natural hair

One more point, I've found the other eco styler gels don't work so well, but the green one with olive oil is wonderful, that's the only one to use.

Jada Scott Just used this and it's amazing! It smells like a tresemme conditioner to me.
The eco styler gel probably didn't mix well with the Ausie Moist or the spray leave in

If you take a little of the products that you plan to use and rub it together on the back of your hand it should tell you if that combo will mix well. But girl you have to try the black castor oil and flax seed gel it's the bomb! I use it with either shea's milk or coconut smoothie.
Eco Styler gel works really well with Paul Mitchell The Conditioner as well as the GVP version of it from Sally's. The Eco Styler that's pink has a softer hold and in my opinion works better than the olive oil and argan oil versions.

I love that gel!! BUT i do get the white flakes if i use other stuff with it ! Like conditioner or like the shae moisture cream products ! Use it by its self ! Because i use more then u became i have alot of hair and then i defuse like u and i literally only use that gel! Its really good! Try it alone !!!! Love u ❤️
I had spent $7 on a huge tub of this product just to find out it is absolutely terrible in my hair and leaves it all sticky, but everyone I saw said it was amazing! Glad to know I'm not the only one who didn't find it that great lol Also, I love your videos so much! I always thought my hair could never grow but you've helped me get longer hair and keep hope that I'll get better at taking care of it
Hailey Waggoner I had the same issues with the Ecostyler! but after that I used the Argan Oil Ecostyler, and it's great! it does not make it dry, however you still want test your products before applying. my Ecostyler hates Aussie Moist
you began by stating you had just done a co wash and deep condition, which by not shampooing and deep conditioning left a residue - you then added two additional leave in conditioners,,,then you applied the eco gel...your results were unsuccessful due to product buildup, the science of too many chemicals - I use eco styler daily for 30 days even before washing and never get frizz nor crunch nor white flakes nor bad buildup and it leaves my hair super soft...try your wash n go again without other products on clean hair you will love the results.

PSA: If your hair is low porosity, do NOT use Aussie Moist. It's full of silicones and despite how slippery it is to apply, the silicones will prevent it from actually penetrating your strands and moisturizing your hair. It will literally just sit on top of your head and flake. I've been using it for 2 weeks trying to figure out why my hair still felt dry and frizzy...that's why.
I use the coconut Eco gel. smells good, and does not leave a residue.. @kenzey cooper you are very comical, I'm like who is throwing these product at you lol love it😊😊

Hi, you should try shea moisture low prosity detangler mixed with eco argan. When its try you srunch out the crispy with an oil, when its dry dry. You spray it and add a Tiny bit of the shea smoothie to create more volume
You can get rid of the flakes by using more oil prior to adding gel and the frizz is due to touching you hair before it was truly dry. You should do it again.
The best combo for hair is the shea moisture deep conditioning then the Miss Jessie's leave in condish and then the curls Lala Miss Jessie's and being the Eco Styler gel top with olive oil thank me later
Yeah, I think the conditioner caused flakes due to it not being a leave in conditioner.. I actually love eco style never gives me flakes. I still say wash and go!
try no frizz by living proof to help eliminate the frizz or the Moroccan oil hair mousse. they work for me
I normally just use the ecostyler gel for my babyhairs or when I slick my hair back. I never really put it in my hair like that. Unless I want a Jerry Curl kinda look in which case I use a ton of the gel and some hairspray. lol
I say it's a go, it works for me as a wash and go, i love that gel, next time shampoo your hair and use regular conditioner as a leave in, that's what I do and my hair stays shiny with lots a volume

Your hair is beautiful!!! It sucks that this product left all that residue in your hair! I had the experience with Eco and I just stay away from their products, they definitely do not mix well with my hair
Hey Kenzy!! I did this exact same thing using the same products together. I love Aussie moist and I love eco styler, but when I use them together I always get white residue. I realized that I have to use them separately.

a way to test if ur product will get flakes or not while using the gel is to mix the products in ur hand if it looks chunky then it will flake up if it mixes into a cream like consistency then it wont flake up. i got this from happycurlhappygirl here on youtube

Eco Styler gels need to be compared because it don't mix good with some conditioners and I use The lustrasilk Styling spray with the olive oil Eco Styler gel they mix pretty well don't leave the cast and it don't have my hair hard it so soft and hold My Curls good.
i love your personality hahah but, i've done the same thing with the eco styler and its soooooooo annoying. although, it does work well when you use it alone. i know the shingling method with ecostyler works with no flakes or anything, and it doesnt make ur hair that crunchy (:

Instead of raking the product in your hair rub it in like lotion so there won't be any residue left 👌🏾 so it'll be evenly coated
Love this series so much! Looks like the gel didn't mix well with your leave in. Personally the only gel I like for my hair is the Taliah Waajid Curl Sealer! I use just a dab on my finger for each section. It smells so good and I don't get flakes or a gel cast. Its cheap too. I definitely recommend it.

Kenzey Cooper For me its pretty easy to find. Walmart, Target, any beauty supply store. Usually at the same places you can find Shea Moisture.

I do not like it either! Tried it on my 4a texture and it was not good.
Most of the time it's not the gel it's what you mix it with...... do tests on your hands before hand to see if they mix well
I like the argan oil eco better than the olive oil eco. I thought it was just me but I see it didnt work for u either so I wont buy it again!
I have never tried it for a wash n go but I use the crystal Eco for my edges
I also don't like this product for wash n go, I use it to lay down my edges

Just a little tip. Way too much product, you can use all of that but dilute it with water. For example if you have a spray bottle. Put half of it, all the products you want to use and the other half water and shake it up. The white flakes is the build up of too many different products.

You've got frizzies because you didn't rinse out that conditioner that's meant to be rinsed out and it's incompatible with your gel. Breakdown and buy some legit leave-in conditioners. The Eco-styler is good. Your formula is not correct.

Yea I don't use this particular Eco styler on my wash n go's because it crunches my curls but I do use it for sleek styles and protective styles like ponytails, any style where my hair is slicked down. It works excellent for that. The jbco/flaxseed oil Eco styler is really nice on my wash n go's when I do use a gel. That's the only Eco styler gel that does not crunch my hair
