In 2 years I retire from the military and will be moving back to Newfoundland. Can't wait to get back at this stuff! I love your videos, you are a great ambassador for the province! Thanks for the honest entertainment,
Wow. What a hunt ! Really nice animals. You must be in really good physical shape. Walking in is one thing. Lugging out two very large animals is something else. Awesome.
Love your videos on here. Making me look forward to the fall hunts. I too wanna chase the biggest bull I’ve ever seen on our trapline. Did not get a chance to get a shot at him.
Looks like you got the good eye for spotting them but the young feller got the good eye for the shot lol. Awesome video would love to get a trophy moose one day.
hahaha Thats a good one! I'm sure he will like this comment, but there's more to the story than what meets the eye! I will leave it at that.lol Thanks for watching!
Man would I love to travel to this country...and hunt moose... BC we have great moose hunting...but, the number of bulls are hard to find at times...FANTASTIC VIDEO....as always....cheers
Sounds like your in the lower 48 around maine. I live in Maine and we have some of the best moose hunting besides Alaska and the Yukon but the numbers are depleting bad due to winter tick
@@deanwilber69 hey Dean.... yah, our family has been subsistence hunting moose for 55-60 years...that's not to say that we has harvested some Hugh bull moose... LOL... I am about to do my first moose hunt in Newfoundland for my make a wish trip in mid September. Are there big bulls then? any tips for a beginner? what rifle round should I use?
Great video as usual!! Damn all that mileage and elevation in river boots 😲! The country looks a lot like what we have up here, beautiful!! Love the Ruger no1, one of my favorite rifle! Are you guys allowed more than one moose a year? Cheers
Too much for the likes of me with two hip replacements but quite an experience. That shot was perfect. I would like to know how you guys made out lugging that fellow out. I would say he went about 190+ in a quarter.

Width isn't really considered here in NL as to the number of points reason being (we say) our forest is so dense, tight ,thick, moose have seemly adjusted to their surroundings and grow their antlers more higher then wide. But these bulls were like 45-48 inches
@@HOTRhuntinontherock I shot a moose about 8 years ago on a guided hunt on the Rock that was 45 inches wide but only 12 pts. I JUST wanted to know how it stacked up. Ok
Two little bull together buddy . Remember your points got to be a 1” inch long to count as a point. Good spot to take a helicopter 🚁 into might find a big bull to drop on the ground.
Something don't add up there. There absolutely no way you guys carried out all that meat over all those hills and bogs. I suspect you are just after antlers, which isn't cool.
You guys is greedy big time you can’t eat the antlers plus in Newfoundland we hunt for the meat eventually the moose population is going be down and anyone outside Newfoundland won’t be able to hunt the Newfoundland moose
