I live in Fairwood and had ash coming down starting around 2:30pm and it was still coming down around 9:30pm. I could also hear helicopters as they flew over to Spring Lake to gather water to bomb the fire. I’m really not looking forward to the 4th around here. Sigh….
Not much of a fire, lucky it is burning in deciduous trees and green brush. If it was half a mile up hill it would be in conifer and more than likely running. East winds all day today humidity at 10% not good. More than likely fireworks. Lots of road access.
The fire has grown and firefighters had to disengage because of proximity to the power lines. You can laugh about blaming global warming, but people (you know, families and pets and stuff) live just outside of the camera's view. If someone you care about ever loses everything because of a fire or other disaster, may you be treated the same way you express yourself here.
I can't seem to find any update on this fire, has any percentage of containment begun yet?
Kinda weird that a fire just starts under some chunky transmission lines??
looks like the power lines arced to the ground ,,,,

Looks odd. Most wildfires rely on brown fuel.
I dont see any firehydrants nearby ... this one may get with it ,,, limited access too ,,,

@@rocokat Oh no... I know people that live very close this fire. Hope they can figure out a solution.
Wow what a great joke you got there, for a minute there I thought you didn't understand science at all, great joke!
flobie1kenobi+ a one-acre brush fire in an area that has never been known to have brush fires ever, is a problem...
What will it take for some people to think and care?
