@@Rexpbass Hard to say for me as I've not used a B15 and have never really gone for the Ampeg sound (scandalous I know!). I'm not a huge distortion expert but can say that at zero drive there is a "something" about the sound that feels like there's something just around the corner. Then the gain goes up slowly until it kicks in massively at the end of the dial. Somewhere on there may be that edge of breakup sound but my noob ears aren't trained to look for it, sorry!
My Digbeth pre-DI was £120...great pedal ....very clean FET channel & a great Tube sound...many features....Laney sell this much cheaper than £250 ...great for quiet practise with a clean, noise free headphone input for my PJB headphones...batteries ?!?! A good power supply box ....suprised as i've used both & the Laney sounded better ,especially when used DI...the MXR is to fizzy sounding where the Digbeth can sound like a tube amp just breaking up....the Digbeth sounded better imo but depends on the tone your after...my only moan..no cab sim but not essentional....good review of both...horses for courses

I have one, and it's just an emulation. Still sounds great though.
@@paulnattress9584 can it do the pushed right to edge of breakup but not quite clipping tone sort of like an old B15?
