Thank you for sharing this video. It is the most helpful video we have seen on how to do this for beginners. Can't wait to get our tv fireplace wall done.
I just bought this Ryobi Brad nailer and learned that the knob near the front of the gun can be turned to determine how much depth you want the nail to go in. And on the back of the gun there’s a power knob that I haven’t learned how to use yet lol but there is a detachable extra tip on the bottom of the clip; idk what it’s purpose is for yet 🤷🏻♂️ I’m still learning

I think that the depth and technology of the job is very good, I think it is the fruit of effort and passion, I am proud, I respect you, I hope you will succeed deeply in your heart
Wow 🤩 it looks so good. Wish I could have you do that in my home lol. The only thing I would have done differently is made that bottom of the two bookshelves (the box/stand you made) into drawers. Just to have more storage.
I have a question and a suggestion, questions first. Why didn't you mitre the fireplace so you wouldn't need the corner piece? Suggestion, paint the back boards before putting them in and things are easier.
Looks great! I will be doing something similar. I do have a question. After you completed this masterpiece….was there anything you wished you added? Thanking you in advance for a response.
How the heat of fireplace won't affect the TV ? I am getting ready to put a curved electric fireplace too but the vent is on top of electric fireplace? I see another electric fireplace have the vent on front
So code allows you to cover over the bottom outlet with a permanent structure? I realize the fireplace can be removed to access the outlet but I thought the outlet had to be easily accessible?
Overall I think this looks great I did have a question though… Did you guys create a channel or corridor for you to be able to add components to the TV and keep the wires hidden like DVD player/PlayStation/wii. I would’ve thought that you would’ve definitely rig some sort of a system in the empty space behind the wall for you To run the HDMI cords For them to be retrieved on the shelving….?
Its seems they made it so it protrudes slight passed the book shelves by a few inches I think this was a personal preference for looks more than anything as the fire place seems to be quite flat at the back and the depth doesn’t appear to be deeper than the Unit itself so the depth of the whole unit was determined more by the depth of the shelves than anything else, if the fire place was deeper than the units than the same would apply just the opposite way around. Hope that helps
Not sure why you didn’t create a flatter mount area for the TV. I know every set is slightly different so doing fully-recessed might be limiting, but it kinda kills the look for me.
Long time ago had my living room tv mounted almost seating level and In my bedroom I have it mounted couple inches off the ceiling for I have computer monitors and a desk underneath... got to say, I like the high mount better
Very nice. I'm retired from project management. I never get tired of watching other people work. Hah! Thanks for posting your work and project.
Thanks for watching! haha

this is EXACTLY what i want to do!!!...it looks awesome! good job guys. thanks for posting!
Absolutely incredible, you guys did a wonderful job. I am inspired, but also terrified to try something like this lol.
It is so beautiful, has different modes and colors and flame speed. I bought a 42 inch for my 55inch tv and it sure came out well
Does your electric fireplace have the vent in front or top of the electric fireplace?
Thank you for sharing this video. It is the most helpful video we have seen on how to do this for beginners. Can't wait to get our tv fireplace wall done.
This is awesome!!! I’m a complete novice and your video makes it easy to follow.
This is so nice! Were getting ready to install a RV fireplace and I am looking at finishing ideas, this one rocks! thanks!
Very nice never thought about using shelves like that.

2 questions.. Total cost to finish? Total hours spent to finish the project?
Absolutely gorgeous!
This came out really good fellas!!!
You all did a fantastic job!!!!!

I think you guys did a great job! Love the fireplace.
Thankyou for the video helped me in my project alot 👍🏻
Amazing work !!! This is exactly what I want my sitting to be..❤
Excellent work!🤩🤩
Nice work but You should add a floating shelf 😉
Amazing and talented guys!!!

Great video! Want to build something like this so love that you gave all the right details.
Love this amazing work. I wish u live in Georgia.
Thanks for video, gave me some assistance in my own Diy project
Wow 🤩 it looks so good. Wish I could have you do that in my home lol. The only thing I would have done differently is made that bottom of the two bookshelves (the box/stand you made) into drawers. Just to have more storage.
That is actually a good project guys. Thanks for sharing.
Great job guys!
Awesome Job😎
Falulous 🎉🎉🎉
what was the total cost of this project ? looks great !
Long term review? How is it holding up? Any issues with heat from the fireplace distorting anything or causing the TV issues from the heat rising?
I don't get why there's so much space behind the TV yet you didn't mount it flush?
Great job guys
Came out nice good job 👍
Great job will doors open fine with that trim there ? What size nails on your bradnailer
It looks amazing
Great video.. It's gonna suck when you have to replace that coax outlet... No question its gonna cause issues with cable service
Really nice I will do that for my to hopefully I can do like you.
Great jobs guys looks awesome
Looks great.....Take care, Bluefin.
just a great job you guys.
Did y'all put down new tack strips under the carpet in front of the built ins?
@0:42 I went to Home Depot and asked for three fourths quarter inch plywood. They said it doesn’t exist
All that work to put in prefab?
I have a question and a suggestion, questions first. Why didn't you mitre the fireplace so you wouldn't need the corner piece? Suggestion, paint the back boards before putting them in and things are easier.
Great job 👍🏾👊🏾
Do the cabinet doors open? That trim looks awfully close to the edges of the doors.
This is beautiful, love it. Do you wish you had a mantle also?
Looks great! I will be doing something similar. I do have a question. After you completed this masterpiece….was there anything you wished you added? Thanking you in advance for a response.
Looks awesome man
EXELENT JOB!
Did you cut the bottom of the bookcase where the notch is?
So glad I stumbled upon your video, you did a great job, so much so I will probably do mine the same.
How the heat of fireplace won't affect the TV ? I am getting ready to put a curved electric fireplace too but the vent is on top of electric fireplace? I see another electric fireplace have the vent on front
You know Billy sells height extensions, right?
So inspired!! Great job
It looks so great 👍
You guys did a good job. The only thing is that the TV should be inside the wall that you built
Great job 👍🏼
These guys definitely have some wood working experience. No way can a novice build this!!!
Wow. Looks great!
Looks fantastic!
looks great. i personally would have put the TV behind cabinet doors, but that would be tricky with the shiplap. anyway, nicely done.
Great job guys 😎🇬🇧
Very nice job
Please write in your notes the next what book cases they are
Nice! Looks great 👏
can you get to the plug for the fireplace insert ?
So code allows you to cover over the bottom outlet with a permanent structure? I realize the fireplace can be removed to access the outlet but I thought the outlet had to be easily accessible?
Apologies if you said it in the video and I missed, does trim paint match the Ikea color when you filled in the brad nail holes?
Awesome video
Overall I think this looks great I did have a question though…

Beautiful
are those to heat up or just for looks?
Good job, well done guys.🤗
It looks nice but you should have had the TV recessed to the face of the ship black.
Great job! love some DIY home improvement
Man looks nice!!!
Dude this is amazing? What was the budget?
Love this idea. How far out did you have the fireplace frame come out from the built in platforms?
Its seems they made it so it protrudes slight passed the book shelves by a few inches I think this was a personal preference for looks more than anything as the fire place seems to be quite flat at the back and the depth doesn’t appear to be deeper than the Unit itself so the depth of the whole unit was determined more by the depth of the shelves than anything else, if the fire place was deeper than the units than the same would apply just the opposite way around. Hope that helps
Looks great, only thing is the top shelf is upside down, your not suppose to see the lock nuts, other than that, not to shabby
Looks great. Next time adjust the depth setting on the gun. It’ll save you guys a lot of time of having to punch all those nails.
Hey, may I ask how far did you bump the wall out that the TV/fireplace are mounted on. Aka how far in front of the bookcases is the wall you built?
Great video but I have one question? Why not take down the drywall and the reframe your project into the wall?! It would have looked more custom!
this was great to watch. awesome job!..
14:00 sides
11:25, how to make a shelf thicker
Looks awesome
Dang! Y'all make it look so easy!
Great work very cool !
Freakin' Brilliant!!!
How long start to finish was it?
Not sure why you didn’t create a flatter mount area for the TV. I know every set is slightly different so doing fully-recessed might be limiting, but it kinda kills the look for me.
wonderful !! i love it ...
Did you consider recessing the TV instead of flush mounting it?
Did you paint the IKEA doors with the same paint and everything else? Did you have to prime them? Or did you leave them and paint the rest to match?
This is awesome. Is shiplap easy to buy at local big brand hardware store?
Brutal...love it!
Looks good
Why do people continue to mount their TVs so high up? It's totally wrong positioning!
Long time ago had my living room tv mounted almost seating level and In my bedroom I have it mounted couple inches off the ceiling for I have computer monitors and a desk underneath... got to say, I like the high mount better
@@zaggaona it's really bad for your neck
You probably have a small tv. If you have 75 or above... higher is better.
@@pinoyh1536 totally wrong! It's bad for your neck no matter the size.
