I got four tvs by them and my last one had this problem after only 6 months it started this i just got the PS5 off ebay so i thought it was my ps5. I now had the 2021 4k tv four months ago and its been fine sense. The last one was the Vizio 2020 edition both won CEC game awards back to back

Boy do I feel stupid. My tv and cable box weren't plugged in. And on top of that I had no batteries in my remote. I was trying to use my RCA remote for my vizio tv. Ha ha stupid me. Thank God for this excellent video. It saved me from going out and buying a new tv. I was in my car driving to Radio Shack to buy a new tv when I thought that maybe I should google my problem first. I'm so glad I came across this video. Also it turns out that Radio Shack doesn't exist anymore. So who knows how long I would of been driving looking for a Radio Shack.

Second Vizio tv in 3 months to do this. None of my HDMI ports seem to be working. Also these fixes did not work. I’ll just not buy Vizio going forward.

But what happens if you dont have the tv option on your television. We have the cable selected but there is no option to select to go to tv under input
I had the same problem and one thing she failed to say is Reset To Factory Settings which I did and the problem solved.
Check that the cable is plugged in!?!? I never thought of that!!! And changing the input to the corresponding device isn't fixing a problem.. that's just how to correctly set it up!
I use to troubleshoot these issues and you’d be surly at how many become loose or even changed around. Some don’t even have their receiver turned on. 🤦♀️

Here's a better one, why is my TV saying no signal detected when I'm ACTIVELY WATCHING SAID DEVICE THROUGH THE INPUT?
Same here. No signal message on top of the display while show is playing.
I get a big"no signal" box across the center of the screen while HDMI video is playing behind the box with important content obscured
Thank you for this instructional video. I had first assumed my “no signal” issue was a connection issue or just one that required a hard boot. I’m not sure I would have thought to check the input selections, which is what the issue turned out to be.
Thank you for the instructions. I have checked the cable and the LNB receiver but the signal intensity and signal quality didn't change. Still displaying no program found.
keeps switching to SmartCast before tuner has a chance to tune in channel, don't seem to be able to disable Smartcast. Just one annoyance after another with this TV - No more Vizio for me.

The search for new channels option worked for me.
That didn't help me one bit. I have dish network, fire stick, Blu-ray, and I know they're all hooked up correctly. Today the TV is booting up very slow and it's saying there's no signal to anything.
Vizio tv's are garbage.
Bought a v505 for $400 and out of the box the video and audio were out of sync.
The tv is now 6 months old and the audio keeps going out. You have to reboot the TV to get the audio back.
Changing between apps, the tv shuts down and won't turn back on. You have to unplug and plug back in to turn on the TV.
Called tech support and was told they don't have parts for a 6 month old TV. They will ship a USED TV in exchange for the original tv. But first you have to submit your credit card info so they can put a $400 hold (original tv price) on my credit card.
If they receive your original tv damaged, your credit card will be charged. So basically spending $800 for a used tv.
It will be your responsibility to recoup your money from the shipping company.
My two tvs were't picking any tv channels. Antennas worked fine. I went to all the Google Apps, especially system apps, shut down whichever ones I could, and cleared the data stored. Any update that I could remove I did. The tvs now work fine. It's not an antenna issue. It's an android issue. BTW, I did not touch the remote app, but did clear all the data. It took about 3 minutes at most.

In my Visio V505-H19, the TV input never activates even with new antenna and cable connected.
I can’t get a DVD player to connect directly or through an hdmi adapter. My super old Samsung tv can hook it right up with those same cords. I’ve tried two different DVD players and nothing will work. I tried to use the same hdmi port my Roku is usually plugged into and nothing. It’s definitely the Vizio tv that’s the problem. Those ports just don’t work. Now I’m attempting to put a DVD in my laptop and connect it to my Roku just so I can watch a DVD on my tv. Hope Vizio hasn’t found a way to block that.

I've set up HD receivers before and never had an issue. With a new Vizio, it only works when it wants to and there's no predicting when. Pretty simple concept you'd think? Save your money folks, Vizio TVs are hot garbage.
Which is worse...the NO INSTRUCTION/MANUAL or TECH SUPPORT that barely speaks English?
What is the power cable? How should I connect it?
I don't have cable/satellite hooked up. Just want to use the coax for old video game consoles...but it won't display anything other than "no channels in master list" Please help

I have my Vizio plugged into HDMI-1 but when getting the "No Signal" error, HDMI-1 is not an option under the "Input" options. It will work under the "Tuner" option (even though it is plugged into HDMI-1 port). If I plug it into HDMI-2, the HDMI-1 option reappears but no HDMI-2 option. Same if I plug into HDMI-3! WTF VIZIO ?????
For the heck of it, try the RCA cables (red/white/yellow) just to make sure it is not the connections/inputs.
I spent over 50 hours dealing with Vizio and my cable company. After 4 days, a Cable Tech 'finally' suggested I might have a bad HDMI input on my cable box. Sure enough, they had given me a defective box. It was my 3rd bad box.
After all that, I still returned the brand new Vizio yesterday...since it had constant audio problems, plus the remote & tv had numerous issues. I had to do 3 Factory Resets in 2 weeks. That fixed the issues, but only temporarily.
What a shame since the picture quality was good. Audio sounded tinny. Another dealbreaker was the poorly trained Vizio techs that barely spoke English. At any rate, do a Factory Reset. You will lose your adjustments, but should not take long to reset everything.
@@waynelynch3862 I "KINDA" got the issue resolved! The settings kept changing my connection name automatically. I would change it to HDMI1 and the system would change it back to "Tuner". Don't know why. Now, the issue I am having is when I turn on the cable & TV, sometimes the audio/video are off (like watching a Japanese movie with subtitles). I have to turn off the TV (when the TV goes off, there is an audio lag) and turn it back on for the audio/video to correct itself. I tried multiple HDMI cords and wiggled the cord at the connections for shorts and nothing.
@@sarge6870 I was also having the audio lag (including sub-titles), since I often leave C.C. on. The Factory Reset fixed it, but it just kept having issues. Vizio said they had some 'known'' issues that were being corrected w/firmware updates, but I am hooked up directly w/cable (no router yet) so I cannot get the updates yet & was not going to let 30 day return warranty run out. Upset that they sent the tvs out with issues. I love the new tv picture quality, but sure miss the way that old tvs went decades w/out any problems. My old tv was 32 years old.
Next I may try a Hisense 43.'' I wanted a Samsung or Sony, but too pricey and most 40''+ have eliminated the RCA jacks. I am not going to spend more $$ on a converter because Samsung or Sony saved money by eliminating RCA jacks. Bad enough that many models no longer have channel/volume/power & other buttons. A neighbor gave me a 10 year old LG that has a fine picture and lots of connections, so I can just use that, while hoping for the next sale, which might be a back to school sale in August for 32''-46'' sizes.
I'm have a sony bluray hooked up to vizio tv. Since this isnt personal components ( in a rehab for back ) I accidentally hit the on button on bluray causing the message: No signal-HDMI -1 under that check source device is on or input button. Thing is this remote isnt the one that comes with tv a cheap universal no set up and no Sony Bluray remote . I tried the hard start up once but in a wheelchair . Any suggestions or should I try hard rebooting again ?
@@waynelynch3862 I think I got it Wayne! I did a factory rest and it seemed to fix the issue (hasn't occurred again in 3 weeks since the reset). Just sucked I had to go through ALL the settings again and enter ALL the passwords again!!

Trying to set my Vizio up with an antenna and it will not input it jumps right over it still not working so what I bought a TV that I cannot hook up to the Internet I mean antenna

my remote does not input i changed out button board and new remote , still no luck , could it be a bad ribbon cable ?
Does anyone have to unplug the power cord from the back of the TV every few days to get over-the-air channels to continue working?
I used to have to do that on my old plasma TV. Never did find out exactly the problem. It was old

It seems that Vizio TV’s are not popular. I am trying to play an Atari, “Plug It In And Play TV Games” joy stick/console. I’ve tried everything and nothing works. New batteries in the game, every white & yellow RCA port on the TV, no sale, nothing seems to work. From the sounds of things I shouldn’t be surprised.

Our Smart Insignia TV works on our antenna without connecting to wi-fi. We only want to use An Antenna. No wi-fi.
Didn't help. I am not having this problem with tv channels, but with a game console connected to HDMI-3. The others work.

Ive tried everything listed as a "fix" for hdmi cords. nothing worked.
I did a channel scan, nothing was found and now my tv input is completely gone and the “tv channel” option under settings won’t let me select it so I can scan again. What now? I restarted and unplugged everything and plugged everything back in. Still nothing. Am I fucked now?
My vizio tv keep losing the signal from my computer, I am using to monitors I use them for work, then I have to fight with it to get it to see it again.
I don’t think this is gonna work cause it reads N64 and Ps2 consoles but not SNES and GENESIS on component cables setting no signal even the RF unit on channel 3 no signal
Vizio support is terrible. The easiest way to get out from under their "smartcast" mess if you want to stream is to buy a Roku and run it through an HDMI port.

I would like the TV to switch to USB photos slide show when there is no signal input from other sources. Is this an option? I have not found a way yet.

VIZIO, the brand that is complete crap making things over complicated and seldom working. How about this "Genius" idea. You plug your cable line into the damn TV, set it to the right channel and your cable works. Novel Idea huh? These things are barely useful as a GD game monitor. At least the lady is cute.
It doesn’t even give the tuner option and the coaxial is securely plugged in. It wants to bypass to exclusively Smartcast/Watchfree smh

The onlything our new vizio has is free TV. Our antenna is connected. our channels are scanned in. NO free antenna tv. We will take it back- 2nd tv today.

The crap they sell lasts than 2 years and they do not give a crap after they have your money. 65 inch quantum tv lasted les than 2 years and this company says tough. We donot bsck the garbage we sell after 12 months. You might as well throw you money out the window.
